      • yelena

haha thanks muse i meant the qvc site has hardly any info. not even descriptions! the foundation brush looks lovely. i wanna know if the sharpener is for the lippie? so it is still twist up?
also wanna know more about the foundation since i haven’t liked any of their foundations in the past. gosh so many questions! haha.

        thanks muse, you’re the best!

        • the Muse

sorry yelena all I got is what is on the site at the moment..as soon as I get more deets promise to post 🙂

  • Sara Elisabeth

No likey the wasted product from sharpening lip products. I wonder if the formula is the same in the cream shadow/liner duo as it is in the solo cream shadow sticks . . . If you have the info, let me know. Thanks!

  • diane

i’m so excited for this set! i also think it’s weird the lipsurgence has a sharpener. why would they change a product that is not broken? LOL. I’m also super happy the amazonian clay mascara is in here. i like lights camera lashes but i have so many from past kits & i think am clay is a bit better for my eyes!

    • Joan

Yeah, I agree, Diane. I hope they’re not going to start making the Lipsurgence pencils that have to be sharpened. I like the twist up type. I have many of the shades and love them.

  • Suselew

I just ordered it and I’m not an Insider. It says it’s in the process of shipping. Thanks, Muse!

    • the Muse

great suse! glad to hear that…! not sure why it didn’t work for the other reader!

  • Laurie

I don’t need this. But I’ll probably buy it anyway. The fair foundation is a perfect match for my teen and the rest of it will be mine 🙂

  • Brittany

I just ordered too and I’m not an insider. Thanks for posting…been looking for the item number for a few day!

  • dar

I ordered my kit the other day and I got it today! 🙂 I am not sure about the foundation…I ordered light but probably should have gotten fair. The foundation looked a bit heavy when I first applied it but better after it sunk into my skin. I applied it with a beauty blender because I didn’t want to use the brush without washing it. I will try applying it with the brush tomorrow. I haven’t done more than look at the other products. It seems like a good kit but not as good as some of their other TSVs.

        • blue

darn, it’s actually natural hairs. realized that after comparing it to my other natural haired brushes and washing it. the washing definitely confirmed that it’s natural bristles. o well, still a very soft brush. 😀

  • Joan

Thank you Muse. First I of heard of this. Thanks for the heads up. Haven’t received my Insider magazine yet. Just went on QVC and placed my auto delivery. Really looking forward to trying the foundation.

    • the Muse

hi joan long time no speak! it isn’t in the new insider 🙁 sucks but lately qvc fails to put any of the beauty items in their mag. did you notice that?

      • Joan

I got my Insider magazine yesterday and it is pictured on one of the last pages. That foundation brush looks awesome also. Just wish there would have been a blush as part of the collection. Me and blushes!!! LOL.

  • Joan

  • Brooke Lehman

A few months ago I bought a Tarte Auto Delivery with the quad eye shadow among other things. Do I automatically get this set or is this something different altogether?

  • lisa schreiber

Oh my gosh, just found this site thru QVC blog and I love it!!!! I was looking for the item numbers for the Tarte TSV and Bobbi Brown TSV. Would you know them, please????

    • the Muse

lisa, the qvc blog linked me? got a link where? would love to see 🙂 the item numbers are right in the post for this set and bobbi’s are front page.

      • lisa schreiber

Thanks so much! This is an amazing site. Can’t wait for a rainy day so I can really spend some time here! I ordered it and it says it is the process of shipping. I love their other foundation so I am sure this will be great too. Again, thanks so much…Lisa (An admitted beauty product JUNKIE!!!)

        • Joan

Lisa, you’re so right. This is an amazing site with a lot of great information. Also fun to “speak” to other beauty product junkies. LOL.

          • the Muse

aw damn joan you made my day go on now ;-D

  • IHeartRoxy

I just got this in the mail yesterday and I love the foundation! I’m a medium (asian skin, yellow undertones) and it’s a great match. My face looked incredibly smooth, flawless, dewey while not feeling heavy (I could go on and on….) It also lasted from 4:00am in the morning until the evening. I normally use the Amazonian Clay Foundation (in medium), but this is my new favorite.

The application is similar to the Amazonian clay foundation – a few dots on the face and swirl the brush around to blend. Unlike the bamboo brush for “airbrushing” (which is rather large), this allows a little more control for the contours of the face.

The gloss pencil is a cute pink. My lips are rather pigmented, but the gloss was still pigmented enough to show. The shade reminds me of Sweet, from the Glow Your Way to Gorgeous Set (I think) or the Radiant and Rested II.

I didnt try the other products, but assumed they’re great too. I already own the shadow sticks, which dont crease and blend well.

I imagine the foundation will be ~$40 when it becomes available on its own, so this is quite the steal. I love how the basics (the stuff I use on a daily basis, like Maracuja oil and foundation) are included in this set, so Auto Delivery is a definite must.

  • Joan

Received the Tarte TSV yesterday. The lip pencil is a really pretty pink. Just don’t like the idea of having to sharpen it, unlike the other Tarte Lipsurgence pencils. The brush feels so soft. Don’t know if I’ll use it for the foundation, though, but will definitely be using it maybe for powder. The foundation is a full 1 oz size, although QVC’s description of it says it’s .6 oz. I got it in the Light shade and think it will be fine for my fair/light skin tone. I’ve been using that mascara for a while and I really like it, so I’m glad they included that one. I already have a couple extra of the Light Camera Lashes mascara. The eyeliner/eyeshadow also looks very pretty. Looking forward to the auto deliveries in the future.

Just a heads up on the LipSurgence that came in this kit. I talked with Tarte about it and it is unique to this QVC kit. They don’t have any current plans to change the design of the entire line of LipSurgence.

HOWEVER….. they did indicate that if the public prefers the sharpener-style LipSurgence it could mean the change of the entire line. I expressed my dismay with that possible change. Considering the popularity of the new Revlon Just Bitten Lip stains and Clinique Chubby
sticks, it would be bad timing IMHO to change from a nice short chubby stick to a longer top-heavy design. Most users would not want a sharpener which simply wastes product.

If you agree with this, I encourage you to email Tarte at [email protected]. Tarte is great for listening to their consumers so if they see the majority of their customers do not want a LipSurgence change, they will be less likely to make a user-unfriendly change.

    • Joan

So happy to hear the pencil is for this set only. I don’t like the idea of sharpening. I love the Lipsurgence just the way it is. If it ain’t broke, why fix it? And, I will e-mail Tarte to let them know how I feel as well. Won’t be the first time I email them. Thanks.

  • Sarah Smith

I do want to order this collection. Just not sure if I should order fair or light. Can someone swatch the fair or light foundation colors.
    Thanks

  • Apryl

I love tarte and I just discovered TSV. But should I pass on this one, muse? I really liked the 8piece maracuja TSV back in March because it had an eyeshadow box and blush. Im not quite sure how often Tarte does a set like that. Anyone know? Thanks!

  • Angieluv

I got my set yesterday! So far I am very impressed. I have been an exclusive BE girl for about 7 years, but the last 6 months either my skin has changed, or the formula of the powder has changed…. In BE I fluctuate between fairly-light, and Golden- Fair. I ordered the Tarte Light color, and am very happy with it. It has a nice dewy finish, which I had to matte-ify with some powder (i think I am just used to an overly dry look, so I will need some time to adjust.
I do have super sensitive skin, so only time will tell if this breaks me out- crossing my fingers that my skin cooperates.
The new lip surgence, which requires sharpening, seems a little softer than the prior style, and applies almost like a lipstick. Loved all the other products, and I found a 2.5 gram pot of Maracuja C-brightener eye treatment in the bottom of my box marked “sneak peek”

    • the Muse

i’m terribly excited about the eye cream angie ;-D thanks for the mini review!

  • Susan

If you get on auto delivery for this kit you will get a another full size item in place of the brush in upcoming kits.

There was also a sample of a new eyecream included in this kit and I really like it.

  • Suselew

My thoughts on a couple of the products in this kit: Put the pencil in the bag to give away. Not only does it need sharpened but it’s not the same formula and the tip very small in comparison to their normal line. It also doesn’t fit nicely in my makeup drawers like the chubby design. A complete miss for me.
The eye cream is wonderful. The absolute perfect consistency.
Love the mascara. It’s just as good as Lights,Camera Lashes.
I believe the brush is a natural-haired brush as it does not feel synthetic. I also lost many bristles on first use. Not too impressed. I have written Tarte and asked them to consider only synthetic hair to keep with their cruelty-free status.
I really like the delivery system of the oil. I don’t care for eyedropper systems. A pump would be the best.
I haven’t tried the foundation yet or the eye liner/crayon but I have high hopes since I tend to love Tarte foundations and eye products. But, then again, look what they did to the LipSurgence (sigh).

  • Majick

oh oh oh… you know my saga, didn’t I just type 5 minutes ago that I didn’t need any Tarte? WHAT WAS I THINKING? LOL This kit looks like it will be fun to try. I like the Amazonian Clay foundation and would like to try this one as well.

How do the colors compare to the AC full coverage? I am Medium in that one but also got it in light to mix in as the seasons change.
