Lorac Couture Shine Nudes Duo Review & Swatches

This was provided to me by a brand for review but all opinions expressed are my own

Fond fans of Lorac Couture Shine will be delighted by the Lorac Couture Shine Nudes Duo for Fall 2012. This is a selection of two full size Couture Shine Liquid Lipsticks for a lot less if you indulged in two at the regular price.

Let’s take a look!

This set includes two full size Couture Shine Liquid Lipsticks for $28. These glosses are $22 each so it is almost like you’re getting one gloss for free or in this case for $6 or break it down to $14 each. Whichever way you do the math there is a value to be had here.

The duo caters to women who like a nude pout, shades include Vintage (nude beige) and Muse (nude pink). Both shades are a milky cream finish with a high shine. Although a cream-like formula they have a high glossy finish with plenty of moisture and a formula infused with hyaluronic acid that keeps lips hydrated throughout the wear.

These do have a thick, sticky texture with a vanilla scent and flavor. Although sticky and quite thick they still manage to have a smooth, flawless application and finish. In this case you can be thankful for all that tack as it enables the glosses to have a strong four to five hour wear time.

I’m not exactly keen on Vintage since I can’t do such a strong shade of beige without looking corpse-like but Muse does produce a rather lovely flush of pink on my lips that’s both natural and pretty.

Lorac Couture Shine Nudes Duo is an exceptional value for fans of the product as you’re getting two great glosses in a nice set for a great price. If you’re going nude for Fall both these shades offer great options for getting there.

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse.
