MAC Heavenly Creature Mineralize Eye Shadow in Magnetic Attraction Review & Swatches
The new love of my eyeshadow life comes in the form of MAC Mineralize Eye Shadow in Magnetic Attraction.
So delicious!
Swirls of gold, orange, and cranberry create a fiery coral on lids that’s ideal for Summer.
Loves it.
Magnetic Attraction is actually the only shadow I got from the Heavenly Creature launch. I haven’t technically gotten to a counter yet to peep the shades but this was one of the few colors that I found appealing.
Although I love the shade I think the formula isn’t without issue.
I typically enjoy the MAC Mineralize Eyeshadow formula but lately it’s been a bit meh for me. I have little patience for the fall out and inconsistency in the finish. Sometimes these are terribly frosty, sometimes they contain a bit too much chunky glitter, etc…
Magnetic Attraction was fairly good overall. It wasn’t great mind you but better than I’ve run into with this formula in the past.
Visually all of the Heavenly Creature powder products are incredible. I’ve always been terribly charmed by MAC’s Mineralize launches but I think they out did themselves with this launch because the powders are just captivating. The colors are so incredibly vibrant and the swirls and design of the powders are stunning. They really do look like little planets!
I think the shades are a little deceiving in pan as they don’t translate as deep or as rich in color pay off once applied. Magnetic Attraction is an example of this. It swatches quite richly but on eyes it comes across considerably sheerer but there’s still plenty of color to get happy about here. I do think the formula applies on the crummy side though since fall out is an issue but thankfully no chunky sparkle or frost. I apply with a sponge to get the best build up of color and the smoothest finish.
Magnetic Attraction is made up of swirls of orange, gold, and cranberry (although MAC calls it pink it quite looks like cranberry to me). The shades have no real definition and combine to create a fiery coral on my lids and that’s quite alright by me as I love corals at the moment.
Overall, Magnetic Attraction isn’t without fault but the color is very pretty upon application and lends a lovely shade of coral to lids for the Summer months.
Likes it a lot!
Worthy of a purchase.
