About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. Definately interested in the cleansers and toner. But the only moisturizer that sounded good was the gel one and it sounds so much like the MAC one I’m using I just can’t see paying a higher price. I’m almost out of all skin care products so I really need to make up my mind about what brand I want to go with.

The products look nice, but seems a bit pricy 🙁 I guess I will wait for reviews before ordering them

Actually the price isn’t bad at all since NARS is quite generous with their skincare. I’ve been using the NARS Hydrating Freshening Lotion and the Brightening serum and i’ve had my containers since Sept ’11 and am barely running out now. I use the HFL 2x a day everyday and the Brightening serum i use about 4 days a week. So they’ve both basically lasted me 10 months!!! when you do the math you’ll find that is actually a lot cheaper per ounce then others.

I’m also interested in the brightening serum but I’ll wait for reviews first. I never shop at Saks, though.

Saks is a great place to shop IMO!! I brought most of my NARS product from there. This is the only shop i know that will ship most of the cosmetic overseas with reasonable shipping (USD19.99 flat rate)….nordstrom seems will also ship some of the cosmetic overseas, but they dun have the flat rate shipping

The gel mask and the eye cream look interesting. And the whole line looks great. Very elegant. Simple. I like!

I can’t get past how scary skinny that model is. It’s creepy. And frankly, it makes me less inclined to by anything by Nars.

I thought maybe it was just a terrible photoshop…but I don’t know. It is creepy!

I already have their gentle cream cleanser but I paid more. Are they lowering prices?

hmmm when and how much did you pay? i bought mine last year and paid $29

  • Barb

I’m currently using the brightening serum because I got something else as a gift that I wanted to exchange. It’s amazinggg. I went in only to buy the aqua gel (my friend does makeup for NARS and told me about it) but I went to bloomingdales and they won’t have it in stock til next week :/ They gave me a couple samples to last me though. I’m more excited about the gel because I honestly have never put anything better on my face. But I have been using the serum a lot and it really is making a difference. I’ve never paid so much $$$ for my skincare but now I see why people do. It’s so worth it. Considering the eye cream next.
