About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. Haha, I was going to make a pun on the Muse palette but you’ve beat me to it!

I definitely am liking the looks of the Icon palette, I’ve been loving the smokey eye lately, it’s all I seem to wear, even in the daytime!

It seems like I must go to Sephora very soon….

    Thanks, Muse!

In all honesty though, I love the colors and I want it *_____*

holy gamole, girl! they named their pallet after you! it should have your smilin’ face on the front of it

I absolutely love the colors in both palettes, but I’m a bit weary of them since I bought and really hated the Click It You’re It palette from Holiday ’11 🙁

Also kind of random, I think it’s interesting how Smashbox’s makeup is always so sparkly and they target their makeup for photoshoots. They sent a bunch of makeup to the clothing brand I used to intern for use at photoshoots, but I found that they were unusable for that purpose! I actually had to do makeup on the model once as well, but the brand preferred a matte and neutral look versus being a shiny glitterbomb like what they provided. I had to use the Bobbi Brown makeup I had in my makeup pouch that day instead D:

really? I kinda liked it d-tan! Not too too bad…! colors were silky, blended nice, good pigmentation too. What did you hate about it?

True, they are a bit on the sparkly side! lol oh man….BB on a SB shoot haha!

Perhaps maybe some of the product was botched? I bought it after trying out the display one and really liked it, but when I brought it home the eyeshadow pigmentation was really lacking and were crumbly! I’ve heard some mixed reviews about it on both sides as well, so I’m just gonna assume a manufacturing issue.
