Wow…what a lovely dark palette! Might have to pick this one up…thanks for the post!

These are not the colors I would expect from a “Call of the Wild” palette. I would expect a green and a gold and a deeper brown. Purples and blues? It’s like they chose the leopard cover and forgot about the theme when they picked the colors for the inside.

I agree. I would have much rather seen a green and gold than the two on the right. I’ll be passing on this one.

Curious as to how the Amazonian clay shadows compare to Tarte’s previous shadow formula? Any noticeable differences? As much as I love Tarte, I just haven’t been impressed with their eye shadows for some reason.

      I’m right with you.

Although, they have done well with their cream eyeshadows.

  • Karena

Wow!! Love these! So glad not to see olive greens and golds. YAY!

I saw this at Ulta a couple days ago. It’s very nice in person but the colors (most of them) seemed too deep for my fair complexion and I prefer less neutral shades in palettes.

The colors are a little dark for me to wear, but what a lovely line up! I especially love how they have used the long, thin bridge shades to kind of suggest a couple different looks depending on what you combine them with–particularly that taupe right between the greys and browns. I don’t know why it’s the call of the wild–Tauuuupe!!!!–but it’s nice.
PS–I am still shaking my head at the “Amazonian clay!” marketing for this entire line. It’s kaolin. The same clay that’s in mud masks and anti-diarrhea drugs and has been in cosmetics forEVAH. It really doesn’t matter which dirt you dig it out of. You’re not foolin’ me, Tarte.

I love this palette. My only wish was that the darkest color was black not Navy

I saw this at ULTA and if I didn’t own almost all of Tartes palettes I think I would have jumped on it. The colors are creamy and pigmented (just swatched on my hand, didn’t wear them on eyes) and the packaging is a dream. IT’s so darn cute.

I think this palette is really nice.
