Bare Minerals Ready Eyeshadow 4.0 The Happy Place Review & Swatches
As you know Bare Minerals has a new Summer/Fall 2012 Collection entitled Supernatural. I blogged about a month or so ago. I haven’t gotten a ton of information on this collection but from what I can understand it is a Summer and Fall Collection all in one.
I believe the shades are available for a limited time so if you end up liking anything I’ve featured so far from the Bare Minerals Supernatural Collection I do recommend checking them out before they disappear.
I’ll be reviewing one of the two Bare Minerals Ready Eyeshadow 4.0 Palettes I have today in the shade selection The Happy Place.
Let’s have a look!
I fell in love with Bare Minerals Ready Eyeshadow Palettes upon their original release. As much as I love loose eyeshadows and pigments I’ve come to appreciate pressed powders even more. Ready Eyeshadow takes everything you love about your favorite Bare Minerals Eyeshadows and presents them in a pressed format. There are endless reasons to love a pressed formula one of the biggest being fall out. With loose powder you experience a heck of a lot more fall out than you do with a pressed eyeshadow. There’s also the issue of how much more portable and travel friendly a palette of four shades is compared to toting around four loose eyeshadow jars yes?
One thing that deserves mentioning is these come in a rubberized compact a la NARS packaging. This results in icky, sticky, grossness when they are used a few time. I suggest wiping them down after each use or trying not to handle them as they are a magnet for glitter, shimmer, and other product.
The Happy Place contains four shades all of which are individually named. How great is it that BE names each shade? You get Peace, Exhale, Euphoria, and Imagine.
Ready Eyeshadow Palettes have a soft, velvety formula with a cream-like feel that glides onto lids flawlessly. I love how smooth these are and even when mattes are included the formula proves easy to work with and blend out. The shades are all highly pigmented as well.
The Happy Place was a little challenging as they include a matte taupe shade I was puzzled what do with with. I didn’t technically use it on my look but Bare Minerals actually has a how to get the look video on their site which you can view at www.bareescentuals.com. There look is far more sophisticated than my own. I ended up using Peace as a color wash (creamy beige shade) and Imagine on the outer corner of my eye with Euphoria gracing the inner corner.
The nice part about Ready Eyeshadow in The Happy Place is how versatile the shades are. You can easily use them together or separate for a variety of natural, nude looks.
Considering the Supernatural Collection is a selection of products that celebrates nude, natural looks I think they did quite well with the shade selection in The Happy Place.
Loves it.
Quite a nice, easy to use palette for creating work friendly looks or even looks for an evening out.
Available now at www.bareescentuals.com or Ulta, Bare Escentuals Boutiques, and Dillards.
