Sephora + Pantone Universe Lip Luster Lipstick for Fall 2012

Do I need more crystal balms in my stash? No, but the Sephora Lip Luster Lipsticks have my heart for Fall 2012.

I want these.

Anyone else?

Bueller?

They might remind you of the Clarins Crystal Balm from the Summer 2012 Collection but Sephora Lip Luster Lipstick sports a few shades not released by Clarins plus there are a shy cheaper at $18 each (P.S. Ouch on the $18…..! Sephora needs to shave down their prices some but I’ll indulge anyway).

These are double-chambered lipstick that combines rich, bold pigment with a moisturizing lip balm. So you’re getting a color stick in the middle with a surrounding clear glossy layer. Same style as Clarins.

The Lip Luster Lipsticks part of the Sephora Alchemy of Color Collection for Fall 2012 which is part of the Sephora + Pantone Universe’s year long contract. I originally thought the Pantone Summer 2012 Collection was a one off-er but turns out they have a year contract with Sephora so new color collections will be launching well into Holiday 2012 and Spring 2013. Cool eh? Considering my success with Summer 2012 I’m looking forward to all the new seasonal launches that Pantone Universe has planned with Sephora.

These Lip Luster Lipsticks have a highly moisturizing formula with a glossy finish and a peach-mango flavor.

Available Shades:

  • Almost Apricot (glittery iridescent pink)
  • Tangerine Tango (glittery sunset orange)
  • Cayenne (glittery pepper red)
  • Claret Red (glittery carnation red)
  • Raspberry Radiance (glittery mauve)

What do you think?

Worthy of a haul?

I want to try one of two shades. Particularly Tangerine Tango!

Available now at Sephora and Sephora.com

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. Glitter, check. Shiny, check. Colorful, check. Tasty, check. It meets all the conditions to sucker in a packaging-gullible person like me 🙂

I WAS very interested, until I read that it’s glitter rather than shimmer…can’t stand gritty, travelling glitter 😡

Love these lipsticks! Im a Sephora MUA and we actually realized that if you pull the bottom off of the tube that contains the lipstick the bottom is actually a highly pigmented creamy lipstick! So you can use the bottom with a lip brush for a more opaque look or use the lipstick for something more sheer and moisturizing! Hope this sways some people on the fence about these, they really are fab.

I was very proud of myself for not impulse buying these because they were so gosh darn sparkly the other day when I went in for foundation.

I’ve been eyeing these too but the price (for a Sephora product) has kept me away, I’d LOVE to see some swatches if you pick them up, maybe that will make my mind up! And yea I’ve also been a huge fan of most of the Pantone collab products so far, love the tangerine color on my skintone, I’ve noticed it’s been a real love it or hate for others though, guess I got lucky!!
