lol! awww! I’m glad it worked out. You should get pulled over by a cop here in New York, you’d die, they are NASTY as hell!

Oh CJ, I’m sorry that happened to you. Cops are funny creatures, some can be so understanding and helpful and others can be such DHs (that does not stand for dear husband this time LOL).

I’ve been pulled over several times in the past few years and most of the time squeak by without a ticket. I think the trick is, try your best not to be snarky, remember that these people put their pants on one leg at a time too, don’t offer too much info until directly asked, if it’s a taillight or your registration I find “dumbfounded look” works pretty well; and a, “I JUST did THAT?” of course this works better when you’re my age ROFLMAO Just never admit that you knew it if you did, they don’t care that you’re going to get it fixed they want it fixed the hour after you find out. So just say, thank you so much for letting me know.

I have been known to get a little hysterical at times when my anxiety is high, they usually let me go. Other times, when I was feeling really strong I try to be smiley, friendly, and curious – “Hello officer, I’m not sure why I’m being pulled over?” If you were doing 80 in a 45 DON’T try this one. LOL

Ok, so now you have something to put on that bucket list. Let’s hope you only have to put it on there once. :-)

I love Lorac eyeshadows, they are super pigmented, smooth as butter and stay on all day…Lorac eye primer and blush is also fantastic. I got the full face candy box and I think they have a nice variety of eyeshadows, there are alot of browns i have to admit, and I don’t think I’ll use the lip cremes. I’m a lipstick and gloss kind of girl and lip palettes aren’t my thing. I’m saving this until I’m done with a brown Lorac palette that I’m currently using, I don’t need a gazillion browns. Seems I have alot right now though lol. This is one of those sets that I don’t want to use…just sit and look at it…lol. It is very special and for 59 dollars, it’s like a 360 dollar face value. That’s pretty amazing. I’ve been eyeing it all season, and finally picked one up when it was back in stock. Now you can’t find them anywhere! They are GONE.

I want the eyeshadow set, but I don’t need it. I mean I actually don’t need it because I don’t wear eyeshadow every day and I’m not a makeup collector, not in a no one technically “needs” makeup kind of way. lol That price, though….how can I say no?

    CURSE YOU, LORAC!

THese are adorable! Love the packaging, hope the formula hasn’t changed, and the colors look terrific. LORAC usually never disappoints but there can be a miss every once in a while. I can’t wait to hear more about this set. It really would make a cute gift for someone.

OMG CHOCOLATE BARS!!! SO WANT. And they are removable from the larger packaging! The thing that irked me most about holiday edition cosmetic sets was that all the beautiful packaging made everything impossible to travel with. But these shadow bars solve the problem, while looking delicious at the same time.

Please Muse, if possible , do a compare between these eye colors and the ones in that awesome Lorac Pro Palette that you recently reviewed . ( i can’t afford both!) So curious to know! Love the individual sets in this – so portable and no cross contaminating powders into lippies . :) Do want!

Are the eyeshadows in this set the same as the eyeshadows in the sweet temptations eyeshadow palette at ulta? They look the same, the eyeshadow “chocolate bar” in the ulta set have similar names too. The sweet temptations eyeshadow palette sold at ulta is exclusive to ulta too. I think I like the set from sephora more, simply becAuse of the liner palette and cheek/ lip palette, the set at ulta is $36, so the set at sephora I think is a better deal.

Nikki, I was trying to figure that out also? It looks like the shadows have different names than the ones at ulta? They had the glosses & liners in at ulta so next time I go back if they’re out I’ll look & report back:)

  • 10/2/12 2:10 Nikki:

Michelle, I stopped at sephora today and they didn’t have the set at sephora and I have not seen any reviews or anything on the sephora set! I did see a review for the one from ulta and it looked the same as sephoras except like u said diff names! Ugh I don’t know which one I want! I’m kinda leaning more towards the sephora one since it has cream liner and cheek/lip palettes but idk!! If I find anything out I will def report back!! Btw I love your blog muse!!

the shadows in the set from Ulta are really nice – I didn’t see the Sephora set in person but the palettes do look a little different. I kind of hate when a company does this and then you don’t know if you’re getting dupes with different names. KWIM?
Last year I got the large unzipped and then ipcked up the smaller kit too -the colors were similar but not the same.

The shadows in the Ulta kit seem to be on par with the texture/pigment etc. of the unzipped palettes. I don’t have the pro.

I know I’m late but I just bought the pro palette and got the sweet temptations eye collection and feel like the same colors are in each the pro palette and the sweet temptations collection. Can you confirm if this is true?
