MAC Styleseeker On the Hunt & Marche Aux Puces Eyeshadow Duo Review & Swatches
MAC Styleseeker sees the release of four limited edition shades of Eyeshadow x 2 Palettes. I don’t typically rave the MAC Eyeshadow Duo compacts as these seem to fail for me for some reason but two shades from this release were a rather pleasant Fall surprise.
If you like Fall shades that resemble freshly fallen leaves do check these out.
MAC On the Hunt Eyeshadow Duo ($27.50) contains two shades of eyeshadow in Star Myth and Raving Mad. Both are very Fall-like colors that will create warm looks for the season ahead. Marche Aux Puces also contains similiar freshly fallen leaf shades with Chessa and Indie Spirit. The thing I like about these two compacts is they’ll actually work well together as well as individually. You can easily combine these four shadows by mixing and matching to create a very Fall friendly eye look! Coppery orange and red will definitely have you thinking autumn.
As much as I liked the colors I do think the duos fell victim to some of the performance problems I had with past Eyeshadow x 2 Palettes. The colors do look incredible in pan but they always have a rather dry feeling to them that takes a bit of scraping to get out of the pan. They do prove workable but it takes a little elbow grease to get the best color payoff.

Although the formula disappoints some, I think the colors are unique enough to rave about and might be worth further exploring on counter. I really thought these shades were a vivid pick for Fall.
Being a sucker for autumn, I liked them a lot and thought they deserved some minor raving.

I’m not sure if I like these or not. They’re strange colors to my eyes. The oxblood color is on trend but I’m still not 100% warm to it yet.
I do always love a good copper shade, so these could be worth checking out at least for the sake of curiosity, eh?
I planned to get some eyeshadows from Styleseeker, I loved how they look in the promo pics. But after a few swatches, I wasn’t so impressed by them. But the lipglasses were gorgeous and so were their nail lacquers. I got a few items from this collection
and so far, pretty happy with them!
helz I agree, the lipglasses were solid gold!!!!!!!!!!! I think duos seem to always suffer a rather poor formula for some reason!
Hey um have you tried the office hours blushes yet? Any thoughts? Christine totally ripped them a new one but really sheer might be good for me ya know?
testing now, little too sheer for me and a little try, will have swatchies and review tomorrow likely after I complete my testing ;-D for you, they might be good, very soft shades nice and flattering on fair skin…texture is a little blah though!
The colors are definitely unique, but I don’t think I could make these four shades work on me. So I won’t be getting them. I have two of the Styleseeker lipglasses, though, and I love them.
A little disappointed at how late this is, only because both of these palettes are now sold out online (and have been for a week and a half) & in most stores – like mine.
However, I hauled 2 mattene lipsticks (Camden Chic & Fashion Nomad), a lipglass in C-Thru – it was a permanent item that was in the collection, wished I’d realized in the store while I was buying it, and Supercontinental blush, which I absolutely love! I’m upset that I missed Worldly Wealth, though.
sorry camille, I was on vacation when styleseeker launched so I was def late getting reviews up. Perhaps your local Nordstrom got them in stock? or another counter? I’m glad you got a lipglass I thought the lipglasses were the best part of this collection!
