My Scheming Sakura Night Jelly Review

My Scheming Sakura Night Jelly is a moisturizing gel sleeping mask that can be used to restore hydration to skin over night. There are such an array of sleep masks available from Korea, Taiwan, Japan, and other Asian countries they tend to all run together for me as sometimes they aren’t all that amazing.

I must admit I did like this one though!

The My Scheming brand might be familiar to you as they make some excellent sheet facial masks. They kind of started out like My Beauty Diary by creating a variety of sheet facial masks but proceeded to start releasing smaller skin products recently including peels, cleansers, and sleeping masks.

This is a water based gel which can be used in several ways. The most traditional use would be as a sleeping mask. It’s one of the last products you’ll apply at night prior to heading to bed. Simply apply a thin layer, allow it to absorb, and wash it off in the AM. The gel is lightweight, has a rose scent that’s quite pleasant, and absorbs fairly easily.

It actually does a fairly good job of refining my skin and smoothing rougher, drier areas. The sides of my nose and cheeks were flaky and this softened the areas and got rid of the flakes. It made my complexion smoother overall.

You can also multitask the product and use it as a lightweight moisturizer or as a facial mask which you can rinse off after wearing it for 20 to 30 minutes. As a lightweight moisturizer it’ll work fantastic for those with oily skin as it hydrates gently without feeling too greasy or oily or leaving a shiny finish.

Overall, if you can get it for an inexpensive price tag it’s worth picking up as you will see results after use particularly on drier skin. Sasa.com sells My Scheming for a fairly good price as well as a few other online shops and stores. A jar should cost you around $6 to $8 but I wouldn’t spend more.

Likey!

I didn’t realize you weren’t really into sleeping packs. What is it you find disappointing? I haven’t tried this one but I generally love SP and I never skip them even if I’m lazy about other stuff.

I tend to use a variety of products on my face at night so sleeping masks just seem like they muck up my regime Tiffany so that’s why I tend to not use them ;-D

I’m currently using the Tea Tree version, because I’m acne-prone. Have to admit, it is way better than I anticipated! On alternate nights I put it on at night time, over serum & under moisturizer. Just a little scoop (I just love how they provide spatula too, how thoughtful considering the price) warm it between fingers and apply. Absorbed quickly too! Skin will be so supple in the morning. I got mine from Sasa too but it cost me a little over $10. Read somewher that this supposed to be a dupe for Naruko’s tea tree night jelly but turns out to give better result. I don’t know about Naruko’s but I like my My Scheming’s 🙂 Always adore your review, Muse! (∩_∩)

So pretty! I love the look of the jar and the packaging. And the texture looks interesting. Good to hear it would suit my slightly oily skin.

Hey Muse, got a question about sasa.com. I was thinking about ordering something from there, but most of the reviews I’ve seen for the site are pretty negative. Have you had any problems with them?

    • the Muse

never had any problems crango but you have to pay attention to holiday dates/shipping delays because of weather/etc….this is typically shown during checkout as they’ll warn you if there is a holiday that might delay shipping or bad weather, etc…typically I get my order in 10-14 days but once had to wait a month due to snow storms they were having.

Sounds nice! Personally, I’ve gone through several “jars” of Oslee’s sleeping pack and really like it.
