Nicki Minaj Launches Pink Friday Fragrance

Nicki Minaj launches her first perfume every entitled Pink Friday just like her MAC Lipstick launch. The Pink Friday fragrance sounds like something that fans of vanilla and fruits might enjoy.

But…

The bottle is terribly creepy.

Fragrantica posted this image of Nicki’s new fragrance bottle.

Nicki Minaj Pink Friday Fragrance

Eep! Seriously, it creeped me out a little. What do you think?

Fragrantica also reports on Nicki’s inspiration for the Pink Friday Perfume:

“Pink Friday is a celebration of my life at this moment; it is a reflection of me as a creator, and an expression of me as a woman. I know my Barbz (thats how she calls her fans) will connect with and appreciate each aspect – from the name, to the outrageous bottle design, to the vibrant colors that create their own song. Pink Friday shows off my personality and style; its exciting to express my voice through another dimension,” says Nicki. “I was involved in every aspect of the decision-making process – it seems easy because I always get this feeling inside: I know if something is right or wrong. Each detail needs to ‘wow me or it is not an option; thats my way of composing perfection.”

The fragrance is set to launch this September.

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. Lol, it is pretty creepy, although I think it fits her well. I think I would possibly even be disappointed if she hadn’t gone over the top with it.

It sorta reminds me of Michael Jackson’s look towards the end of Moonwalker when he turns into a cyborg thing. XD

i think she’s trying too hard to copy gaga—calling her fans barbz whereas gaga calls hers little monsters–it’s all very poserish

      • Rawr

she calls her fans “Barbz” and “Kenz”. Barbies for the girls and Kens for the boys (She loves Barbie). Just because Gaga has nicknames for her fans doesn’t mean she’s the one who invented fan nicknames. Katy Perry was around way before Gaga and she’s always called her fans Katy Kats, so if anything Gaga copied her.

I hate when people think that just because Gaga did something crazy and someone else did something crazy that they AUTOMATICALLY copy her.

But it’s been done long time ago by Ms. Mariah Carey calling her fans lambs…the problem with GaGa is that she takes her self so seriously in calling herself Mama Monster, etc.

wel when I saw the bottle before reading your post creepy was the first word that come to my mind. Indeed is really creepy

  • GREG’S girl!!!!!

Hey Muse!! Nicki calls herself the “Black Barbie Doll!””……so her followers call themselves BARBZ!!! Everything she’s doing, Lil Kim did in the 90’s!! I luv them both cause they know how to make them dollars!!! Lol!!! Anyway, I’m going to purchase the perfume and let u know if I like it!! Luv ya!!!

ooo ok! thanks lol! I didn’t know that! thanks for clearing that up ;-D LMK what you think, it actually looks like it’ll smell awesome, the bottle, it scares me though ;D

  • Ruth

can we talk about the promo pic too? umm, where are her arms? it looks like they photoshopped them right out! and she looks frightened by that bottle too!

    • Cas

I was wondering why no one mentioned that creepy poster earlier! All around just a tad too creepy. It would scare my kids..

  • Cindy

There is nothing I like about her, but my opinions aside, I’m curious as to what her perfume well smell like. I’ve got a soft spot for vanilla and anything sweet smelling. I wear Pink Sugar on a daily basis ;]

  • Kiss & Make-up

Yikes, that’s a creppy bottle… I’m a little wary about this fragrance, just because it’s by Nicki Minaj. I don’t exactly associate her with an appealing fragrance, lol.

  • Michelle

Sweet baby Jebus … that’s one creepy little bottle! I can imagine this sitting on my dresser, then when I go to bed at night – it’ll be starring at me. I think I’m going to have nightmares about this now.

  • Bethy

It’s awful and does nothing to interest me in the product. Looking at listing of the scent notes doesn’t interest me either.

  • Nina

I don’t like her politics, so I won’t buy anything associated with her. Aside from that…Nicki Minaj is incredibly UNoriginal, as may of the commenters have noted.

  • Thu aka “Foohy”

My women’s studies classmates/professor/TA from way back would have had a lot to say about the picture above… no arms and open legs. As for the bottle, bubblegum Egyptian bust, hehehe.

  • GREG’S girl!!!!!

Hey Muse!! I got to smell the fragrance today, sprayed some on my hand five hours ago, and even after having washed my hands….I can STILL smell the scent!! Yeah the bottle looks “scrange,” but it fits her image. Bottom line Muse…….I luv it…….I’m buying…….HOLLA!!!
