Pond’s Luminous Clean Daily Exfoliating Cleanser Review

Pond’s Luminous Clean Daily Exfoliating Cleanser is one of three new products that Pond’s released in their new Luminous Clean Collection.

This collection is meant for duller skin as it brightens skin as it cleanses. I suffer from duller skin myself. I always feel like the life is sucked out of my skin if I’m not wearing makeup that’s why I’m always on the hunt for various skincare that combats the issue and reveals whiter, brighter skin.

This collection is enriched with moisturizing ingredients and white kaolin clay which gently draws out dirt, makeup, and impurities while improving dull skin and giving your complexion a brighter look.

I think that drugstore cleansers have come a very long way. I can recall a time I avoided cheaper cleansers because they over stripped my skin and made it very tight and dry after use. Believe me, my skin is dry enough without adding to the problem.

Pond’s Luminous Clean Daily Exfoliating Cleanser is proof that you can get a cheap ($6.79 at drugstore) exfoliating cleanser that actually works without drying skin.

This is a rich, creamy cleanser which lathers into a full foam as you massage it in. It has tiny, grainy microbeads which gently exfoliate skin to gently resurface it. The microbeads are very small and have a grainy almost salt-like texture. I really like the feel of this as I’ve come across cleansers with bigger beads that move around your face but really offer no exfoliation. This is grainy enough to gently exfoliate without stripping plus it’s not so harsh you can’t use it daily.

If you have drier skin you should avoid over exfoliating skin as it’ll just make your skin drier. Pond’s Luminous Clean Daily Exfoliating Cleanser is a very gentle exfoliating cleanser that you can easily use daily without issues. I like the idea of a gentler daily exfoliating treatment followed up with something stronger once a week.

This lathers up well so it cleanses as it exfoliates. It has a pleasant but quite strong fresher scent, kinda like shampoo. Just sniff it prior to bringing it home with you if you’re sensitive as the fragrance is quite strong.

Overall, it does an excellent job making my skin smoother and this in fact leads to brighter skin thanks to the fact it whisks away drier skin and dead cells which in turn reveals luminous skin.

Likey!

An excellent budget cleanser slash exfoliating for brighter, smoother, softer skin!

I love micro beads, since they don’t shred my skin like almond scrubs (ugh). Is it heavy on the exfoliant, or more medium/light as compared to a salt scrub? I don’t know what to compare it to lol. I just don’t like getting an exfoliant, even if it’s mild, and it’s got 0 scrubby action!

light deb, good for daily use as it won’t over exfoliate skin 🙂 it’s very light, nothing dramatic…for me it’s good as I have dry skin and don’t need to over do it. I use this daily and than once or twice a week I go in for the heavy stuff! 😀

You’ve really tempted me with this whold Ponds collection. I’m definitely going to have to pick up some of these pieces!

Sounds impressive, especially at that price. Then again, since the brand doesn’t exist here, it wouldn’t be a bargain anymore with shipping and whatnot added.
