Smashbox Studio Pop Eye Palette

Smashbox Studio Pop Eye Palette ($49) could possibly be the first palette we will see for the Smashbox Holiday 2012 Collection.

This palette popped up on Sephora today and includes sixteen Photo Op Eye Shadows and four cream eyeliners.

Take a look!

Eyeshadows:

  • Nocturnal (deep navy with cobalt blue flecks)
  • Lunar (warm shimmering silver)
  • Emerald (shimmering green)
  • Nude (matte soft caramel)
  • Vanilla (matte warm ivory)
  • Obsidian (shimmery slate)
  • Champagne (shimmery gold beige)
  • Bark (dark chocolate brown shimmer)
  • Cinder (shimmering violet), Pastel (soft ballet pink)
  • Orchid (dark matte purple), Flamingo (shimmery coral pink)
  • Smoke (matte dark gray)
  • Amethyst (shimmery violet with copper flecks)
  • 24k (gold), Nutmeg (golden bronze)

Eyeliners:

  • Bronze (bronze)
  • Royal (deep purple)
  • Picasso (navy blue)
  • Nightlife (black with multicolor pearl)

Ok, so, it’s very repetitive if it does belong to the Holiday 2012 Collection. And hey, even if it doesn’t, still it has been down before yes?

Not sure I need this one but it’s a great one to indulge in if you never tried Smashbox as I’m typically delighted with the formula on the Photo Op Eyeshadows.

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. I do like part of the color selection. My rule of thumb in buying any kit or palette is I have to be able to use 75% of the products. I don’t wear yellows, blues etc…I do however love smashbox products

You make a very valid point. At first glance I said “oh oh! I want!” but when you mention it… I don’t wear blue either! This has quite a few shades of blue and grey-blue.

The palette looks like a winner, and what’s more is they’ve named one “royal, and another ‘Picasso’ – my favourite artist. They’re firing at every angle for me!

I don’t know why, but I don’t feel the love for Smashbox eyeshadows. I have last years Click You’re It palette and a Quad that I got at Sephora and there’s something about the pigmentation that I don’t really love. I am just so in love with Urban Decay’s formula that nothing comes close. (Closest, to me, is Too Faced).

Eek. I like the colors, but I bet I can dupe most of them already and I hate when palettes mix powders and creams or eyeliners together – I can see this becoming a mess. Oh well, there’s some money saved.

The cream liners are in a cream liner/eyebrow set and I love them since they apply like a dream and I don’t have to do multiple passovers for colour payoff. I do love their shadows also, I but I’m not even close to hitting pan on a pallet I bought a year ago (so much UD love getting in the way). I do love the lack of fallout though. 🙂
