Urban Decay Whiskey/Zero 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil Review, Swatches, Photos

This was provided to me by a brand for review but all opinions expressed are my own

Urban Decay Whiskey/Zero 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil ($12) is available now as a single purchase. If it was up to me all 24/7 Eye Pencils would be dual ended. Am I right? I can so get on board with the twelve dollar price tag and having two colors in one pencil rather than dishing out $19 for one eh?

A few thoughts and swatches after the jump!

Whiskey is a rich brown with Zero being a traditional black. Whiskey is not available individually so it is a treat to get Zero along with it. I dunno about you but I commonly use black and brown eyeliner the most so this is a nifty way to get two shades I use daily in one pencil for ease of travel.

Although I do vote that next time around Urban Decay does Perversion with this versus Zero, I feel like I have too many Zero pencils already! You?

Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil formula is creamy, oh so easy to apply, and quite long wearing. It’s been a fav of mine since they originally introduced the formula and still holds a spot near and dear to my heart.

At $12 bucks this is a nice little way to double your 24/7 pleasure!

Great price, great eye pencil.

I recently went thru my eyeliner collection and sharpened them all (so lazy!!!) and I realized how many Zero ones I have…….about 50% of them were Zero………… yeaaaaaaaaah. <_< They all had 1-3" left, so they were used a lot at least!

  • Tiffany Martin

That really IS a nice deal. $12 is a supreme price for both, and like you Muse, I use brown and black most of all, and at the very least every time I do my eye makeup.

Thanks for showing us this product, I might have missed this.

As stingy as I am with my money, I will dish out money for UD’s eyeliner. They are ah-maz-ing! I am totally loving this dual end pencil, and I’m keeping my fingers crossed they’ll do this with more colors! And I totally agree, Perversion would have been a better black, but I still love Zero.

  • Alexa

I feel like I’m alone in this, but I absolutely hate the UD 24/7 pencils. They don’t go on well for me, and they smudge like no one’s business. I can’t even get it anywhere near my waterline, or it’s just gone. I don’t have oily eyelids or face or anything, either. :/

Hey Alexa, you should totally give too faced perfect eyes waterproof eyeliners a try, they’re just like UD’s but totally waterproof and smudge proof. I use these on my waterline all the time and they never transfer. Only bad thing is they don’t have nearly as many colors as UD 🙁

  • Southern Gorgeous

    I agree, and yes, we need more Perversions. I have so many Zeros, I don’t know if I will ever finish them all. I think I currently have 6 in the freezer. {Truly in the freezer.}

Looks good. Even the brown, eventhough I always always aaaalways go for black. But since it’s a very deep brown, I’d give it a try.

I have this pencil… bought it a Sephora several months ago and it’s one of my favorite pencils… I agree… more duos… and Whiskey a permanent.

The new Urband Decay smoked liner set is available now on urban decay too! Looks awesome – going to pass on this set to get that instead. although I am torn as UD has for a cheapre price 2 double ended that has 2 of the same colors. I prefer the double ended as takes up less space!!!

    • the Muse

amen on space, I can use all the space I can get so double sided is better! gotta check out that smoked set ;-D w00t thanks!

I had a 24/7 pencil that was half “zero” and half “whiskey” that came with my Naked Palette. I loved it and was able to snag a full sized whiskey pencil off of ebay. It must have been part of a set or something. Anyway, it’s a great color and the two teamed together is great. I will be getting another one! Thanks for the heads-up!!

  • Cali

I’m so in love with these, I bought 2 and the Rollergirl palette from their sale section, just to have a spare whiskey liner. I agree 100% about adding perversion instead of zero though.

  • Suselew

I have a full size Whiskey too, most likely from a set and I love it. But I have to say it’s so close to Bourbon (at least on my eyes). Bourbon is a tad lighter and has shimmer. Otherwise, they are interchangeable for me.

  • anne

Ahh I so wish they would release Whiskey as a single, its my most favorite brown. I know some say Bourbon is close, but the designer in me says otherwise. I even bought Mac Teddy , close but not my UD lol.
