Benefit Go TropiCORAL Lip & Cheek Kit Review & Swatches

This was provided to me by a brand for review but all opinions expressed are my own

If you’re looking for the perfect gift for a friend might I suggest the Benefit Go TropiCORAL Lip & Cheek Kit ($28). This is one of several palettes introduced for Fall 2012 but people, Imma tell you, you should totally gift it to a friend as soon after Christmas we’ll be dreaming of Spring Break and that’s when we can whip this beautiful palette out and create glowing peach cheeks and plush lips!

It’s perfect. Pure bliss.

You NEED it.

This fabulous set includes ALL my personal favs from Benefit.

You get:

High Beam and Cha Cha Tint

Blended

Ultraplush Gloss and Coralista Powder Blush

I love how travel friendly it is because anytime I head on vacation I end up always taking ChaCha with me and Coralista and of course, the new Ultra Plush in Coralista will be added to that list.

What’s NOT to love about these products?

Coralista has always imparted the perfect shade of glowing coral on my cheeks. And Chacha stains cheeks and lips the most gorgeous shade of natural peachy coral. Benefit’s new Ultra Plush Lipgloss in Coralista is a perfect finish to your look as it tints lips a pretty coral with a plush, glossy finish.

New to Benefit? No worries! A fold out step by step application guide is attached to the mirror inside the palette!

Ahh life is good in the tropics kids!

This set is an absolute must have if you travel a lot and don’t want to carry around full sizes of your favs. It’s the ideal set for a warm glowing look that’s both natural, pretty, and simple to apply.

Loves this!

Very Muse Approved for purchase.

It’ll make a PERFECT gift for Benefit fans.

Do you love Coralista?

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. YES! ;-D agreed! against my better judgement I ordered one, steve must be rolling in his grave ;-D you? I feel awful about it. It was TOO expensive.

      • Cj

Nope not yet I’m still thinking about it. What you doing with your older one? Gonna ebay instant sale it??

        • the Muse

naa keeping it. I thought the mini would be good for travel but I know I’ll use my larger in daily life. I travel enough to warrant the mini purchase..I was kinda sorta hopeful I’d make more use of it as a reader of sorts too but I won’t buy ebooks from Apple, too expensive compared to amazon or bn. like a $1 to $1.50 more :-/ so it def won’t take the place of my primary reader. I just like the idea of something smaller when I’m on a plane or at an airport with instant wifi and not having to rely on a hotspot like I do with kindle fire hd. It’s really a bad purchase on me but I’m too much of a fan girl to resist it :-/

          • the Muse

lol no problem or we can share it dearest husband *bats lashes* ;-D How’s all else with you? What’s the weekend plans? All set on Halloween costume? I want freaking pictures..I’ll show you mine if you show me yours…that sounded slightly perverse…! ;D

          • Abbey

Get the kindle app and still download from Amazon! 🙂

          • the Muse

i have it on my ipad/iphone but not the same experience for some reason ;D

          • Cj

Oh you big perv 😛 we’ll see, I should be picking up my costume Monday.

          • the Muse

lol ;-D awesome….mine is pretty much done all homegrown crazy. i’m waiting on a few things I ordered for my Halloween party from the UK which I feel like won’t arrive it time, wish me luck :-/

          • Ruhi

A long time silent reader of your blog, but couldn’t help commenting re: iPad mini bit. You can still read Amazon books on your iPad, once you download the Kindle iPad app. 🙂

          • the Muse

hi ruhi thanks for commenting 😀 I have it on both my ipad/iphone but just isn’t the same experience as reading on my kindle for some reason! ;-D mini might prove different though since the size is just around the kindle’s!

  • HapaGirl

I gotta say, this look is adorable on you, Muse. I held off on getting a set like this because I wasn’t crazy about having to use the blush IN the set – in other words, you can’t pop it out and take it with you, right? It has to stay in the cardboard box? But I do agree that all of the items are must-haves! No matter the season, coral is your color, girl!

    • the Muse

hey hapa aw thank you very much! I love peachy shades like this. Yeah unfortunately it can’t be removed. I like it thought b/c carrying around my full size coralista is a little bulky so this is nice! aw thank YOU!!!!!!!!!!!! hugs!

  • Khalia Bentson

This is the kind of set I need to wear right about now to make myself feel better about the weather! Love coral! Such a generally universal color!

    • the Muse

ugh our weather is crap too khalia rain clouds was really a crummy fall :-/

  • katie

I always avoid corals in favor of pinks. Now I wonder what I have been missing!?

  • amy

I agree with everything that’s already been said: this really is a great value, coral is *amazing* on you, and it really is a generally universally flattering shade. However, I’m one of the few who can’t wear it; it just makes me look burned for some reason.

  • Isis

peach is soo flattering on just about everyone, I love the chachatint, it lasts all day. I adore it on my lips…would it be wrong to buy this even if I have most of it full size??? justification much!

  • SJ

    Very pretty! =)
I turned over my bottle of High Beam last night and was horrified to find it has a use by of 6 months.
WHO CAN USE UP A WHOLE BOTTLE IN 6 MONTHS!?

    • the Muse

ugh I notice a lot of products lately have the six month expiration! insane! I imagine you can use it well after that but perhaps the formula begins to separate at this time and that’s why they warn against it!

  • Sweta

    Hey Muse
This looks like a cool set..I have been wanting cha cha tint since long..how are the sizes of these..are they extremely small?? nevertheless i feel its superb value considering the individual price of all these..:D..u look so pretty as always 🙂

    • the Muse

hi sweta here’s a break down for ya:
      0.13 oz Chachatint
      0.1 oz Coralista
      0.13 oz High Beam
      0.22 oz Ultra Plush Coralista

they are small but it’s still a nice intro set if you never tried these. if you do love ’em you can always indulge letter in the bigger size. Aw thank YOU! you’re too kind!

  • Ann good makeup

wow!!! What I nice gift I agree with you! I would love to receive it! look like the color are reeeaallyyy nice! I think I deserve to make ME a gift hehehe

  • Marta

Argh so unfair the set looks so good on you… I have very warm undertones (oompa loompy under some lights), and for some reason Chachatint looks great (true coral) in summer but super orange in cloudy days on me. I find Benetint more difficult to apply but it’s true to color on my skin. Coralista looks good all year round though!

    • the Muse

marta how odd that it reflects orange on cloudy days! that’s strange! typically looks a ok on me no matter the lighting!

  • Vail Valley Girl

Stupid question here, is it just me or is coral more of spring/summery thing? I am having hard time wearing it this time of year. Granted, I may just get this set.

    • the Muse

i like it for fall but not for winter vail…but yeah def more summer for me too!

  • ribbonroses

I’ve had a high beam start to go funny after maybe a year of using it, annoying as I still had loads left, but now I have a little high beam which was free with Glamour magazine and it’s still fine after maybe 18 months of being open (I hauled another magazine too so I’ve another little unopened bottle on standby. Confused? Yeah me too, I guess the expiration for moet things has to allow for people taking bad care of them, leaving them near a heater or whatever…..
