Dior Holiday Travel Brush Set Review

This was provided to me by a brand for review but all opinions expressed are my own

If you’re going a little posher with your Holiday Brush Sets this year you might just love all over the limited edition Dior Holiday Travel Brush Set.

At $62 it won’t fit everyone’s budget but those who like a piece of higher end will possibly want to indulge.

I recently had a run in with Dior’s newer brushes and didn’t love them. Thankfully the Dior Holiday Travel Brush Set is a round up of four mini brushes from the old silver handled Backstage collection. These are soft, shed-free, and very luxurious brushes.

The brushes come in a ribbon tied shiny black wallet.

You get the following mini Backstage Brushes:

  • Dior Backstage Powder Brush
  • Dior Backstage Cheek Brush
  • Dior Backstage Eyeshadow Brush
  • Dior Backstage Lip Brush

If your budget is willing you might enjoy this set.

Personally, in a Holiday sea of brush sets I think this doesn’t offer the best bang for your buck particularly because I consider it three brushes since I don’t find the Lip Brush terribly useful (rarely do I use a lip brush and I think many feel the same way!). Although very posh and lovely the $62 price tag makes me wince in agony considering the amount of brush sets available for a far cheaper price tag. Sephora is particularly guilty of releasing great sets (their brushes are on par with MAC in my opinion) in full sizes for as little as $39 for several. MAC also does their Holiday Sets and those are typically very good. Plus a range of other brands…

I’d consider it a nice set if the price was say around $30 but at $62…

Ouch Dior!

I’m buying your name.

Available now on counters or at Nordstrom.

Anyone indulging?

What are your fav Holiday Brush Sets?

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. Oh my! I recently was thinking of buying this set! You reviwed it just in time Muse! Thank You! I know other brands like Laura Mercier, and Bobbi Brown that are also releasing mini brush sets this holiday season.

Muse I was wondering if you could please tell me which in your opinion are really good brushes. I know you mentioned sephora and mac but are there any others you would recommend?

Do you recommend the full size brush sets (also being released this holiday season)? or the mini brush sets? If so which ones. I really value your honest opinion. I appreciate it. Thanks so much!

The silver handles are SO PRETTY!!! Ugh why do the pretty things have to cost so much? I MIGHT JUST add this set to my wishlist though. It’s a great gift-to-give-someone-who-wants-it-but-would-never-buy-it-for-themselves, if you know what I mean.

Dude – you are in the sweet life getting Dior brushes from their PR dept!

But yeah – $62 for that set is way too much, especial with the choices of brushes they decided on.
