Diorskin Nude Skin Glowing Makeup Review & Swatches

This was provided to me by a brand for review but all opinions expressed are my own

Diorskin Nude Skin Glowing Makeup is a newly launched hydrating liquid foundation that creates a flawless, bare skin finish.

I’m seeing SO many different foundations lately that embrace second skin technology however, many of them prove a little to runny for me and I’m not liking the “glow” effect that comes along with them.

However, I was quite curious to check out Diorskin Nude Skin Glowing Makeup and quite happy I did as it’s a keeper.

Although described as a fluid foundation product Diorskin Nude Skin Glowing Makeup has more of a gel-like texture. The gel formula is hydrating, moisturizing, and blends onto skin in a smooth, even layer that leaves behind just the right amount of coverage to give a bare skin finish. There isn’t any glow, no sparkle, or shimmer so the name “skin glowing” isn’t something to cause alarm.

I was surprised at the texture as it does contain and SPF of 15 but this doesn’t morph the formula, it doesn’t make it oily, nor does it leave behind a pasty look on skin. The formula supposedly boasts 100 percent natural active ingredients and comes in an extensive range of colors.

The formula blends out to a second-skin-like finish that’s provides incredibly lightweight, weightless coverage that’s breathable and pleasant to wear. I do think it’ll prove the nicest wear on drier skin as oily skin might find it a little too dewy however, I suggest getting a small sample at Sephora or on counter and check it out for yourself. For those sensitive, just beware, as it does have a very pleasant rose fragrance. I like it but those sensitive might want to sniff it prior to a purchase.

With continued use it supposedly improves the radiance of your skin, I can’t speak for that as I’ve only been using it for a month but I will say it makes my skin look radiant when applied. My skin looks flawless after application, dullness is eased, and my skin looks glowing and smooth overall.

The finer points of the foundation are the ease of application, the beautiful, lightweight wear, and the radiance it lends my skin. I find it applies easily with fingers or a brush and blends in to a perfect finish. The wear is long without issues of fading or oxidizing. I can get at least five to six hours of wear without the foundation fading away or going orange on me. And finally I love how my dull skin looks with this on as it eases that dullness and brightens up my overall complexion.

Overall, I don’t personally like wearing heavy foundation or makeup nor do I need to. This was the perfect way to ease my dullness and create the look of a healthy finish on my face. It should work well for those with fairly smooth, unblemished skin who want a second skin-like foundation product with a sheerer finish. Those with acne, acne scarring, or heavier issues they want to conceal might be disappointed with the coverage. As for me, it was sheer perfection. This is one of my newer foundation favorites!

Muse Approved.

Do try it!

I think you’ll love it as much as I did.

    Your shade, Muse, please?

I love Diorskin Forever, but it’s definitely more full coverage than I’d like for day-to-day routine. This looks really good.

I’ve tried this on. definitely the best foundation ever
    and I am not lying!!!!

  • Kiss & Make-up

I absolutely love this foundation! The glowing effect is not for me (got enough natural “glow” as it is :-p) but I love using this foundation on clients and models. It’s so natural and radiant.

I just bought this today! I’ve been lemming it for a while (ever since I saw they’re having it reformulated) and wondered if I should wait for Parure de Lumiere but then realized Guerlain probably won’t have a match for me (and I’m impatient that way). Yay, so glad it got a Muse approval!

Also asked about the Grand Bal collection at the counter – it’s supposed to launch in November in Europe, I can’t wait to get Diorling!

I bought it… And then returned it. It wasn’t horrible but I much prefer urban decay’s naked skin and the givenchy ones.

noooooooooooooooooooooooo! really? I just don’t like UDs 🙁 trying to but it’s not doing it for me, it’s too heavier/dewy/wet! 🙁

      • Cj

That’s weird it’s not dewy or wet at all on me! And the Dior actually felt heavier on me lol. The UD feels like nothing at all! I guess it’s just the differences with our skin lol.

I looked at this when shopping for a new foundation(aka go to Nordstrom and ask for samples), but I liked the staying power and lack of strong fragrance of Shiseido Perfect Refining more.

I really wanted to like this, but I’ve been ruined by the Giorgio Armani Maestro foundation – it is so so amazing!

I was wondering what the specific shade was in the photos? Wonderful post!
