E.L.F. Studio Small Stipple Brush Review
One of the biggest complaints I’m hearing about the new E.L.F. HD Blushes has to do with the application. These are so powerfully pigmented they prove a little difficult to apply and sheer out on lighter or even medium skin tones.
No worries, here’s a budget brush from E.L.F. for application!
E.L.F. has a new Studio Stipple Brush for a mere $3 bucks. I dunno about you but I’m always squeamish about using my expensive Fibre Brushes with a cream or liquid brush. I’ve no idea where that weird mentality comes from but it’s there.
So I purchased one of these cheap as chips brushes a few weeks ago because I felt like at three bucks I wouldn’t mind using it with creams. Great purchase since it works a treat with the new HD Blushes that E.L.F. released. These are heavily pigmented and they need a little helping hand to get them on correctly. The best way to apply is def using a fibre brush of sorts.
Fibre Brushes have thinner bristles and offer an airbrushed finish and that’s exactly the benefit of this brush. It has a smaller brush head so it buffs color into cheeks very easily and effortlessly resulting in a flawless, sheered our finish for those heavily pigmented blushes. Squirt a small amount of the blush on the back of your hand, swirl the brush in it, and proceed to buff gently onto cheek bones. Done! Perfect color!
Although it does shed a little bit at first and the brushes aren’t as soft as my MAC 188 it still proves an excellent pick for using with creams and not having to be so scared to do since it isn’t a costly brush at all.
If you’ve been having issues with the HD Blush application I highly suggest picking one or two up for use with them. You’ll be happy you did as the brush is a perfect companion for sheer, beautiful application of these blushes.
