Laura Mercier Rich Berries Mini Lip Glace Collection Review & Swatches

This was provided to me by a brand for review but all opinions expressed are my own

Laura Mercier has introduced two Mini Lip Gace Collections for Holiday 2012. The sets come in nude or rich berry color selections and each set is $48 for give Lip Glaces (0.1 oz in size per gloss).

Mmmm $48 may seem a lot to spend but don’t over look Laura Mercier Lip Glace it’s one of the best opaque lipglosses on the market in my humble opinion.

I can’t pull off the nude lip look very well so I was all about the Rich Berries Mini Lip Glace Collection. Plus hey, it is the season for festive red lips isn’t it? As I mentioned above $48 may seem a lot to spend on a lipgloss set but this is one of the best sets to invest in due the amazing formula.

The Rich Berries color selection is made up of a variety of pinks and reds with a single bronze thrown in. All the glosses have an opaque finish with two shades being a little sheerer but still building up to a very gorgeous finish. The joy of Lip Glace is the comfortable non sticky lightweight wear and of course, the pigment. Oh joy the pigment! Lip Glaces almost always offer a full color pay off but without the heavier feel of a liquid lipstick. Lip Glace has a hybrid formula that has the color intensity of a lipstick and the shine and feel of a lipgloss.

Shades:

  • Violet
  • Rose
  • Cerise (LE)
  • Sangria (LE)
  • Brownberry

Rose

Violet

Cerise

Brownberry

Aside from the excellent color saturation of the gloss you can also look forward to a long wearing formula with a shiny finish that doesn’t bleed, feather, or migrate. Color wears comfortably and lightweight ranging from four to five hours after application.

Overall, this is on the top of favorite lipgloss sets for Holiday 2012. Do do do check it out as soon as possible. Lip Glace is an essential beauty must have and this set offers you five great shades to try out!

I’ve never tried the Laura Mercier glosses but this may be a great way to try a few. Is the color called brownberry or bare beige? It says bare beige at the top of your list.

    • the Muse

sorry bluz, all corrected brownberry ;-D It really is a nice way to try lip glaces ;D

  • Jen_M_sunshine

I was hoping you would review as I am considering cashing in a nordys note on this set or the nude set…. These colors are so pretty though and a nice mix of shades….maybe I will break out of my comfort zone. Btw, muse I am sporting the mainline UD 24/7 liner from the smoked collection…..omg…gorgeous teal blue.. Just sayin….muse might need! Ha!

    • the Muse

I am totally planning on getting this. I keep hoping to see it at Sephora but it’s not there yet – do you know if it’s going to be there or if this is an exclusive somewhere else?

    • the Muse

it’s online at sephora right now blue so I imagine it’ll be in store soon if your store carries LM! 🙂

  • Lorraine ER

This set appeals to me so much! I see so much eye-candy this holiday but none of it is affordable currently. Maybe I’ll get lucky and be able to snatch up some of the leftover LE stuff after the holidays!

  • Susan K

I hope you’ll do a top holiday lip gloss sets post this year. I really value and trust your opinion.

  • Sofia – As We Travel

This post was great, you could really see the difference between them all when you showed them on your lips. My favorites were, surprisingly, the brownberry and the violet.

  • Barb

LM lip glosses are my fav. NOT sticky, lasting, and yummy scent/flavour. These are a great way to try them. Pretty colours too!!

  • Cassie

WOW, these look fantastic!! You really pull these colors off well Muse (though I’m pretty sure I have never seen a lip color on you I don’t like haha) and the formula looks/sounds absolutely dreamy *swoon*

    • the Muse

aw thanks cassie! totally made my day with that comment ;-D lip glace really is an excellent formula you should check it out ;D!

  • Amy

I just received my set today and I love them too! The nudes set looks a little bland so I bought this one instead.

    • the Muse

amy yeah, I felt the same way about the nudes…too walking dead for me!

  • Becca @ The Beauty Sample

Oooh theyre all SO pretty! This would make a great stocking stuffer!

  • Bethany

I’ve really wanted to splurge on a really good lip gloss (or set) and have heard good things about Laura Mercier, so I might go for it. Do you have any other suggestions? I’d be really grateful, Thanks.

  • Karen M

Very pretty colors, especially the brown berry. May have to try these out. 🙂

    Me want!!!
I picked up the shade Bonbon from Sephora in Singapore last weekend, too bad they don’t have the holiday collection (or any holiday collection) in yet. Sephora Singapore is sadly also ridiculously overpriced but it’s the closest to me from Indonesia 🙁 Wish I had gotten into Laura Mercier when I still lived in the UK *le sigh*
