Lush Buche de Noel Cleanser Review

Lush Buche de Noel Cleanser thank god you’re back for the Holiday! But please don’t be upset with me…I’ve been cheating terribly on you with Let the Good Times Roll!

But no worries, you’re still my very favorite!

Knowing Big’s (Mark Constantine) humor I’m positive Buche de Noel takes on new meaning….it isn’t the first time there’s been a nod to the Mighty Boosh and the even mightier Noel Fielding in a Lush product launch so don’t take the name as solely a reference to the traditional French Holiday dessert!

Lush blends fresh satsumas with dried cranberries, vegetable glycerine, a splash of brand, essential oils, grated cocoa butter and ground almonds and creates this very gorgeous cleanser for us.

Granted you can’t technically remove makeup with this but it’s an excellent follow up cleanser after removing makeup with cleansing oil or wash. Simply pop a piece of this out of the container, place it in the palm of your hand, trickle a little water onto it, and work into a paste. Now apply it to your damp face. Massage it on slowly and you’ll notice the grainy, chunky texture exfoliates as it cleanses.

The result?

Super glowing skin! Supposedly the essential oils in the mix will cleanse and balance skin while cocoa butter ads moisture and the almonds act as a gentle exfoliant.

All I know is it leaves my skin pink and glowing! I likey that.

The texture of the cleanser kinda reminds me of oatmeal you can even see chunky cranberries in it so that even makes it look even more edible. It kinda smells like an herbally snowcake to me and considering how much I love Lush Snowcake I’m cool with that.

Sometimes I hate Lush for releasing this for the Holidays only but than I remember that Winter is the best time to use it so make that’s very fitting for the release….!

Don’t forget to stock up on it. It seems to sell out fast and once it disappears chances are you may or may not see it next year. I grab three tubs, stick them in the fridge, and I’m set for Winter and well into Summer since a little goes a very long way!

I can’t recommend it enough especially if you have dry, duller skin.

Loves it!

I LOVE NMTB. It’s not quite the same without Simon but guest hosts and particularly good guests make up for it. Tennant + Catherine Tate? Amazing.

Lush is already getting all my money this holiday season what with Cinders and So White and all the lovely smelling soaps. I’m not sure if I’ll give this a try since Angels on Bare Skin didn’t do much for me and kind of led to more flaking/dryness.

mmm aobs is def drying sometimes! used to be part of my daily regime but I had to break from it!

I am so sad I missed this! I’m not sure if they had this here in the Philippines. I was on maternity leave over the holidays and wasn’t able to get out much, so I’m not sure if they didn’t stock it here or if it just ran out quickly. They didn’t have any the few times I dropped by the store. I hope they have it next holiday season!
