About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. I guess I’m not really into packaging, because I can’t convince myself to pay an extra $12 for a lipstick that is available much of the time anyway.

  • Carly

I’m going to skip these. Yes, the packaging is to DIE for, but I’m not paying $28 for a $15 lipstick with a different looking tube. That is insane. This collection is pretty much at Dior pricing. :S

    • Vanilla

Would it be evil to wish the collection doesn’t sell well so that a lot of stock will end up in CCO? >_>; Can’t afford it at that price point.

  • anna

The packaging is pretty but not pretty enough for me to fork over $65 for the mystery powder… no way. I’ll just admire it from afar.

  • LINDARRAGNAR

It seems like they added a cheap croco plastic sheath to the brushes and added it to the compacts and stuff …. but C’MON $100 for 2 brushes…
$65 for mystery powder???? That’s Guerlain prices, and I’m sure it doesn’t smell as good or have as much product.

    But very cute packaging …

  • blueraccoon

The packaging is pretty but if I’m going to spend $65 on powder it’ll be Guerlain’s Meteorites. I’m not spending high-end money on mid-range products; packaging’s not worth *that* much.

  • Mel

Gah! I’m loving the shagreen looking packaging of everything. Seriously wanting the compact but fear it may be too dark

  • K.A

as a make up junkie I can’t believe I’m saying that I can’t justify paying that much for packaging only

  • GK

These are colors that are available in the regular package, just like they did for the MM collection. No imagination, just over priced & disappointing.

  • mj

These are sooo beautiful! I can just see them laid out on top of a makeup vanity…

  • Alex Jhocson

Holy, imagine opening your compact to powder your face in public.. your compact with a bow on it and in faux leather!!! It’s so Breakfast at Tiffany’s meets Legally Blonde!! <3 hahaha
