Maybelline Mossy Green Color Tattoo 24 Hour Eyeshadow Review & Swatches
I surely hope by now that all of you have gotten your hands on the new shades of Maybelline Color Tattoo 24 Hour Eyeshadows for Fall 2012.
Another of my favorites of the moment is Mossy Green but it isn’t without issue but this gorgeous shade is worthy of the hassle.
I love, love, love golden olive greens like this. They make my brown eyes pop!
Ok, so I will say you need this shade. Do pick it up. It’s terrible that Maybelline introduced it as an LE shade so a back up might be required for some.
But…
Even though it gains an approval I have to admit I had issues with application. Some Color Tattoos are a breeze to apply but others sometimes give me issues. I’m sure many of you have experienced the same. This is the type of shade that requires a brush and your finger to get into place correctly. I find if I pile color on using a brush and gently pat I can get the best finish and results. If I over blend with a finger the color tends to fade away and disappear. It is a bit of a challenge to build the shade up for the best intensity when it refuses to stay in place and just blends away into nothingness.
The shade is quite pigmented but there is building required to get the intensity I desired from it. Slow and steady wins the race. Rushing it results in fading, the bare skin of your lid showing through, and general patchiness.
Love this color.
Do grab a backup. I did!
