Skin Food Byulsatang Eye Color Review & Swatches
Skin Food Byulsatang Eye Color was introduced last Spring in Korea I believe. I remember hauling a few shades and gifting them to friends but never actually reviewing the one shade I decided to keep.
There’s a reason for that…!
Skin Food Byulsatang Eye Color is available in eight color variations for around six or seven dollars each I believe, don’t quote me there though as I had a friend purchase them for me quite sometime ago.
Byulsatang Eye Color kinda slipped rather quickly off my radar because the formula just wasn’t what I expected from Skin Food. Recently a reader asked if I ever tried them and if so could I possibly review them thus this post was born.
These come in a small little plastic tub and can be used as a liner or a shadow. The reason they fell so quickly to the beauty wasteland is because the formula is terribly dense. Honestly, they feel like an old eyeshadow, years old…! The texture is very hard and picking up color is very challenging….they also blend really bad because of this. I find digging a finger into them does warm them up VERY slightly but still not enough for ease of application.
The shade Apricot Cream is one I kept for myself and has stayed in my stash since I think it’s a rather perfect golden peach. However, I’d be less likely to keep it if it wasn’t for that pretty color as the formula itself is rubbish.
Overall, I was a bit surprised. Skin Food typically has decent makeup offerings but they were very disappointing. It just seems like an eyeshadow that was left laying around for years…!
No likey!
