Anastasia Beverly Hills Want You To Want Me Eye Shadow Palette Review & Swatches
The Anastasia Beverly Hills Want You To Want Me Eye Shadow Palette is a limited edition Holiday 2012 Set that features nine shades of buttery eyeshadow, an applicator, eyeliner, and Anastassia’s legendary Brow Gel.
This is $34 and I suppose there are a ton of massive sets you can indulge in this Holiday season for a little more or around the same price. But I do urge you not to miss this. Take a look at it your next trip to Sephora as I do think it could easily be overlooked. The package presentation, usefulness of the eyeshadows, and little extras might just sway you to gift it to a loved one or pick it up for yourself.
Take a look!
This set includes:
- Nine Pan Eyeshadow Palette
- Mini Clear Brow Gel (mini)
- Liquid Eye Liner (mini)
The presentation is very luxe on this little set so it really makes a perfect gift giving set. The palette and other goodies are actually housed in a black velvet box about the size of a CD with a rose gold clasp sporting the Anastasia Beverly Hills emblem. Flip the clasp to reveal a mirror and several wells that hold the eyeshadow palette, eye gel, liner, and applicator.
The shadow compact also comes in a velvet box and slips out of the larger presentation box. It has its own mirror and the shadows inside are 0.025 oz each. They are small shadow wells but brushes and applicators fit just fine inside so there isn’t an issue getting shadow on your application tools of choice. The shadows range in the nude, natural zone but there are a few plums as well to create a very pretty Holiday look.
The formula is very impressive on the shadows. They are on par with the texture of Stila Eyeshadows or the ones I recently reviewed in the Lorac Pro Palette. These have a creamy velvety texture that apply and blend very easily onto lids. Pigmentation is excellent as well. The soft texture of the shadows makes them a joy to work with but some shades come across a tad frosty so you might want to spend some extra time blending out to avoid too frosty a finish.
The colors are really classical so it’s a palette you’ll reach for daily and possibly hit pan on at some point. Especially if you like nude/natural shades of eyeshadow.
There’s also a mini liquid eyeliner as well as brow gel and a dual ended applicator. The mini liquid eyeliner is a richly pigmented black shade with a think brush for application. I don’t actually use liquid eyeliner all that much so a mascara would be a better choice for me. The brow gel is a god sent considering how unruly my brows are. I already own the full size and it’s a daily staple so the mini version is welcome for travel.
Overall, the Anastasia Beverly Hills Want You To Want Me Eye Shadow Palette is a little sleeper hit. I think Holiday palettes get bigger and bigger every year but sometimes it’s nice running across a little gift set like this. The eyeshadow formula had a nice, buttery smooth texture that really applied nicely. If you’re look for a nice little gift set I’d highly recommend checking this out!
