Benefit She’s So Jetset Palette Review & Swatches

This was provided to me by a brand for review but all opinions expressed are my own

Darling, I’m so jetset courtesy the new Benefit She’s So Jetset Makeup Kit that launched for Holiday 2012. This all in one wonder contains everything you need for lips, eyes, and face in one convenient little travel palette and Benefit even throws in a how to get the look guide to keep application simple and quick.

Eyeshadow? Mascara? Check! Face Primer and blush? Check! Lipgloss? Got that on too! Ready to board captain!

I must plead with Benefit to stop including such mod shades of peach and pink in the glosses they include with these palettes. I look awful in the shades…! I appreciate the nude lip look but they typically go a little too mod for my taste. So guys, please, next palette release, throw a girl some shimmer and axe the mod cream lipgloss!

No likes!

Outside of the gloss this Muse is one happy chicklet with this overall set.

The palette contains deluxe size samples of POREfessional for prepping skin and creating a flawless base for your makeup! Follow up with the First-Class Face Powder which is a mix of beige and peach producing a highlighted Coralista finish on cheeks. A small brush makes application on the go a breeze.

Do your eyes up with the four shade eyeshadow palette that includes natural, neutral shades of color. These buttery, velvety textured eyeshadows blend easily with an excellent color pay off and a strong wear. The shades create a very pretty natural eye look with minimal effort and are a pure pleasure to use thanks to the ultra smooth texture.

You get:

  • Champagne Please (beige champagne)
  • Gold Card (True buttery gold)
  • Pretty in Mink (golden brown)
  • Elegant Espresso (dark chocolate brown)

Complete your eyes with a few coats of the deluxe size They’re Real! Mascara. This lengthens as it adds volume for a full eye lash look!

Life on the A List is a mod peach shade of cream finish gloss. It has a brush application for application with a thick formula that has a good deal of wear time thanks to the stickier texture. I don’t like the gloss shade at all to be honest as it isn’t terribly flattering on my skin tone. Benefit seems to favor these mod shades for most of their travel palettes! I have hopes they’ll consider a shimmery shade at some point, that would make She’s So Jetset absolutely perfect in my opinion!

Ok, so I know Benefit She’s So Jetset isn’t exactly what you’d call a festive palette for the Holidays. One might question why they released it for Holiday 2012. But facts is facts it’s a rather brilliant palette and one of my favs from Benefit at the moment. The eyeshadows have a lovely creamy, buttery smooth texture. The face powder gives my cheeks a nice peachy glow and hey, the other products included are a cherry on top of an already great little makeup kit.

P.S. After you’re done with the contents you can slip the tray the makeup is stored in out and use the box as a keepsake for small treasures, postcards, etc….!

This is a no brainer. Don’t overlook it! I realize we’re all blinded by many HUGE holiday palettes and gift sets especially all the sparkly ones, believe me, I’m that girl that loves a good deal of sparkle during the holidays. But She’s So Jetset is a great base for some excellent natural looks and it’ll follow you well out of the Holiday Season and into your daily looks!

I used everything in this set for my look below except the lipgloss!

Loves this one.

Muse Approved for purchase.

Do pick it up!

It’s available now at Sephora, Ulta, Benefit counters, as well as online at benefitcosmetics.com

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. I love it too – minus the gloss! I wish they’d included one of their new glosses instead. I’m thrilled to hear the shadows are good – now I’m sure I need it! I’m sure I have a red something or other to fit in the gloss spot. 😉

Thanks for the review – I’m sold!
