Clarisonic Acne Clarifying Set Review

This was provided to me by a brand for review but all opinions expressed are my own

Clarisonic has launched a new Acne Clarifying Set ($47) to address blemish skin. Although the Clarisonic has always been a beauty tool for all skin types this particularly brush head and cleanser were created to specifically deal with acne issues.

Take a look!

This powerful duo includes a sonic brush head and an Acne Daily Clarifying Cleanser to help treat acne while removing dirt, oil, and impurities from the skin resulting in cleaner skin.

The Acne Cleansing Brush Head as softer, gentler bristles that create a rich foaming lather of the cleanser as it cleans.

The set is newly launched and will work with your own Clarisonic or you can purchase a new Clarisonic Set which includes the entire cleansing brush as well as the Acne Brush Head and Cleanser.

The set is available now at Sephora and Sephora.com or learn more at Clarisonic.com

Which is your current brush head of choice that you use with your Clarisonic?

I don’t have acne issues but I’ve been using this brush lately. It’s very soft and creates a ton of lather. I typically favor the dry skin brush head but I think it might actually be a little too harsh for my skin so this worked out fine!

During the VIB sale I picked these up. I like them the best of all the brushes that I have gotten. I do not have acne either, but I love a good cleaning with a little resurfacing too.

Did you drop kick the packaging? lol I use the pore cleansing brush head, and I LOVE it. I’ve had my eye on both this brush head and the cleanser, but I’m afraid to change it up now that I’ve found a routine that works for me.

P.S. I DO like that it creates a lot of lather (the pore cleansing brush head is all right in that department), because I feel like my face is cleaner when I use a cleanser that lathers really well, I don’t care if the cause of the lather is allegedly bad for your skin. lol

same here, I always feel like my skin is getting way more clean when the brush creates a richer foam ;D

Haha this is why, in addition to using foaming cleansers I also use that foaming toothpaste…it just FEELS cleaner.

omg yes I love that stuff! ;-D It bubbles up in your mouth and creates all sorts of good lather ;-D

I have to use the ‘Delicate’ head and limit it to 2-3 times a week or my skin gets peely/raw/altogether gross. I don’t know why…it’s not generally that sensitive.

really? Hmmm I noticed if I take a break from using the brush and start using it again my skin starts to get a little sensitive as well and my moisturizer will tingle/burn a little bit when I apply. Thankfully it goes away once my skin adjusts to using the brush again daily!

Never used anything like this before, though I did suffer from major acne in my teens and even in my early twenties.

I just got my Clarisonic on Friday (that QVC deal with the sensitive head) and yesterday I got my Deep Pore Cleansing head. I wasn’t using the sensitive one enough to really compare the two but so far I am very impressed! The Deep Pore one leaves me slightly raw but it’s not bad at all, it just makes me feel like it’s actually doing it’s job. My t-zone seems less red and it even coaxed out a weird really deeply clogged pore to the surface. It looks ugly right now but at least it’s clean. I was very impressed.

For anyone wodering of this works, it definitely does. I use this brush head and cleanser with my Mia 2, and it really does help with acne! It cleared up my skin and leaves it soft and glowy. I use it twice a day on the high setting, and it doesn’t irritate my skin (I worked my way up to this though as I first used it once a day on low until my skin adjusted). For anyone trying to clear up acne problems I definitely would recommend trying this.

I’m currently using the ultra sensitive head that came with my Mia. I’ve had major issues with my skin since moving to Japan and from very oily and very prone to breakouts in summer to very dry and flaky in winter I’ve stuck to the same brush.

It has been working great for me even with my skin troubles and multiple visits to the dermatologist. I like that it doesn’t irritate my skin (I have very sensitive skin!) and leaves it feeling smoother. Definitely helped with my acne and blackheads as they are noticeably less on my nose.

Hi, I have the clarisonic mia with sensitive and regular brush heads. I feel like they don’t differ too much in terms of how soft the bristles are. Is the acne brush head any different from the sensitive brush?
