Clinique Lashes Top to Bottom Review

This was provided to me by a brand for review but all opinions expressed are my own

One of my favorite gift sets of the season is the Clinique Lashes Top to Bottom Gift Set for Holiday 2012. You NEED to get this.

This set includes five Clinique Mascaras for $29.50. It’s such a great way to experience many of the mascaras Clinique has to offer if you never explored them before.

Me likey variety!

The Clinique Lashes Top to Bottom Set includes:

  • Clinique High Impact Mascara in Black (.14 oz)
  • Clinique High Lengths Mascara in Black (.16 oz)
  • Clinique Lash Power Mascara in Black (.09 oz)
  • Clinique Lash Doubling Mascara in Black (.14 oz)
  • Clinique Bottom Lash Mascara in Black (.07 oz)

All of these mascara are deluxe size samples however Bottom Lash Mascara is a full size. You already know I can’t live without Clinique Bottom Lash Mascara as I ravingly reviewed it in the past.

The other mascaras are going to be a treat for me as most of them I haven’t tried before. At $29.50 the total cost breaks down to $5 per a mascara. Since Bottom Lash Mascara is $10 that along rounds this out as a very nice bargain indeed.

I think it’s a nice set to try out some new mascaras for size without committing to a full size that you may not like. These mini versions allow for a good six months of use and you can switch on and off between a variety of formulas or use them together.

I thought the set was rather darling! I love variety in my beauty purchases and this brings it.

Do check it out your next stop at your local Clinique Counter. It’s also available online at www.clinique.com

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. I just got the curling mascara since it’s a tubing mascara, so far I am loving it! Too bad these aren’t all tubing mascaras too or I’d get them haha. Just had to give Clinique mascara a little shout out :3

happy to hear it ;-D I’m playing with these now! thought I’d review each one individually! I like the variety factor ;-D I’m still kinda searching for a new mascara, used one by IT recently that I adore!!!!!!!!

Hey have you ever had your eyelashes tinted? The spa I go to does that and I’m really curious… and also terrified lol

    • the Muse

count me terrified! I won’t even use lash serums because of all the scary ass disclaimers ;-D

    • Cindy

One of the Beauty Gurus I follow on Youtube put up a video a little while ago about eyelash and eyebrow tinting. The process looked pretty easy and scary at the same time if that makes sense. They put a glob of gooey product on your eyelashes then wipe it off after a few minutes. I still don’t think I’d ever do it!

      • the Muse

see that’s where I get terrified, gooey product, wipe off, OMG might get in my eyes!

I’ve had my eyebrows tinted a few times. It’s basically hair dye for your eyebrows and it doesn’t last as long as I’d like. I have very light blonde eyebrows and my hair color ranges from dark brown to auburn depending on my mood and time of year.

    • Tammie

I wouldn’t mind trying that because my eyelashes do this weird thing where like half way through they go blond (I’m brunette). The problem is I would still want to wear mascara so why bother with that? If getting them tinted gave them a little volume and a natural curl then I’d certainly try it out at least.

      • Cj

Wow mine are the exact same! Half blonde lol that’s why I was curious about it 😛 I could get away with just curling them and never having to wear mascara again

Lash perming and tinting isn’t bad at all!! Those aestheticians go to school for that kind of stuff anyway, so there’s no goop landing where it shouldn’t. I personally love it all. XD

    • Alanna

my aunt does that sometimes, I think they use veggie dyes. 😀 she says it’s no big deal and really handy.

Bottom lash mascara just seems weird to me. Mine are really long so, no matter how careful I am, they immediately go ‘spider-leg.’ The most they ever get is whatever transfers from blinking when the top lashes are still a bit wet.

I do tint my brows, and occasionally just the tips of my top lashes if they’re looking blond, but I’m scared to get up close to the eye. I use Refectocil and it takes maybe 5 minutes start to finish.

    • Cindy

My bottom lashes are the same way! I have to trim the eyelashes in my outer corners because they always tangle with the top lashes when I wear mascara. I hate the spider legs!

    • Alanna

I trim my bottom lashes because all of my lashes are reeaallly long and I’m scared of eyelash curlers! otherwise, they get tangled and stuck to the upper mascara.

If I hadn’t just bought mascara during Nordstrom’s Mascara Madness I’d be all over this, but I have three new full-size mascaras I need to use, plus I just got a full-size new one in my Birchbox, so I’m kind of drowning in mascara at the moment!

  • Tinkibell

Clinique High Impact is my Holy Grail of mascaras! I have a technique I use that makes me look like I have false lashes on using High Impact. Or on more low-key days I love that I can still use it and get a natural look with it!
