E.L.F. Essential Primer Eyeshadow Swatches

E.L.F. Essential Primer Eyeshadow is a new rich cream eyeshadow color with a built-in primer. These are kinda a dupe of Covergirl Intense Shadowblast.

At two bucks per shade you can’t beat this price.

Take a look at some swatches.

I didn’t personally like Covergirl Intense Shadowblast and had a rather crummy experience with them. However, I was kinda hopeful that E.L.F. Essential Primer Eyeshadow might just prove a better product.

These are available in a mere four shades so Covergirl does have some advantage in the variety department. The formula is a weightless liquid cream with a built in primer for longer, stronger wear.

Coco Loco and Sultry Satin

I haven’t tried them yet but I was swatching them on my arm several days ago and decided I’d share those swatches prior to my review.

So far E.L.F. has been doing some pretty good products so these might just be nice.

Tried ’em?

I’d love to hear your thoughts on ’em?

Do you like and use Covergirl’s version?

Do share!

Even if they don’t work well as eye primers that sultry satin would be a beautiful highlighter color!

The colors look like good staples.

I was thinking about getting them, too, but when I read reviews on them, I decided to leave them. But maybe you’ll have a better experience with them. I look forward to hearing about it!

I have the Sultry Satin, and I love it. You need to blend before it starts to dry though, or you will end up with a flaky mess…ditto when putting any shadow over them…they flake and you have a spotty looking eye.I just use it for my lid colour and blend a matte shadow in my crease. Stays pretty, doesn`t crease or smudge!
