Happy Thanksgiving to You and Yours!
It seems like minutes turn into hours and hours into days and days into weeks and weeks into years a little too quickly lately. When I was young the Holidays seemed to take ages and ages to arrive. As an adult they seem to whip in and out of my life before I have a chance to enjoy them.
As autumn comes to a close and the mad rush of the Holiday Season arrives I hope you take a second to whisper a word of thanks that you woke up this morning to enjoy it all. Sometimes life is a cake walk other times it feels like we’re climbing up a never ending hill but at least we are here to do it. The only thing that matters is you can crack your eyes open in the morning, give a yawn, and face the exciting adventure ahead yet again. Give thanks that you’re here today to enjoy all that this wonderful world has to offer. Give thanks that you have someone to share it with even if that someone is just your cat! Give thanks you have a pillow to rest your weary head on at the end of the day. Give thanks for that toast and tea you enjoyed this morning. Give thanks even if you had a crappy day because at least you’re here to experience that day!
A million people will tell you that life is to short and I sincerely doubt you want to hear it again. But it is. We age so quickly and we seem to rush through our life so very fast. Take a moment to sit back, breath in, and look around at all the wonderful things that make up your own life and remember to feel grateful for all of them be they big or small.
You don’t need Thanksgiving to give thanks for all that you have. Giving thanks for what you have should be what you utter the moment your head hits the pillow after a long day. But Thanksgiving is a great holiday to give you a little nudge and reminder that you sure are lucky enough to enjoy this rather grand adventure we call life.
I’m very blessed and thankful for all that I have and that my dear friends include every single one of you. Thank you for spending your precious time with me! We may not be traditional friends but friends we are none the less.
Happiest Thanksgiving to you and yours!
