Hard Candy Single & Loving It Eyeshadow Review & Swatches

You must haul some of the new Hard Candy Single & Loving It Eyeshadows! These recently launched from Hard Candy for a mere $3 at Walmart.

Available in a range of 12 colors these singles are teeny tiny but if you’re on a beauty budget they pack a NICE pop of color with a formula that lasts all day!

Count me surprised! I didn’t expect a lot from these little shadows but boy was I impressed. They swatch a little powdery but they apply like a dream.

Each little pot comes in a tiny plastic case and weights in at 0.081 oz in size. I’d say the pans are a little bigger than the size of quarter which means they store super easily (especially if you have a rather large stash of makeup) and are completely travel friendly as well. I don’t feel like they’ll break if I toss them in my makeup bag and that’s a rather nicely because 1. I didn’t pay a ton of money for them and 2. I can travel with several shades.

Ahh the formula, what a delightful surprise! At a swatch they seem like a looser textured shadow which originally led me to believe that maybe they would end up fading or creasing as the day progressed. But actually applied with a sponge applicator I got excellent color pay off with a buttery smooth formula that glided on lids and stayed in place all day without creasing even without primer on. Count me impressed. They also apparently work quite well together without going muddy when applied and blended together. I wore three shades without any issues seeing the definition of the three shades. I wanna say they have a satiny finish but they also feel a little velvety to me like a no frills version of a Stila Eyeshadow sans the frostiness associated with Stila’s shadows! There’s a little sparkle in some of the colors but it’s a very refined shimmer that doesn’t give a disco-ball like appearance.

Attraction, Infatuation, Solo

Solo (wearing in my look below)

Infatuation

Attraction

Moral of the story is they aren’t MAC or Urban Decay or even Too Faced. They are however, an excellent eyeshadow at this price which a very nice formula. I tried three shades and all three performed excellently. Sometimes it’s a mixed bag with releases like this and one shade is worthy a rave where as others aren’t as great. In this case all three were excellent which leads me to believe the remaining nine in the collection are well worth my time. Hard Candy has a nice line up of colors as well from bold to neutral. These are quickly headed to the top of my favorite budget eyeshadows!

Likey!

You should try them.

Lately Hard candy has been getting my attention a lot more. I love that a lot of their packaging is cute, but that shouldn’t matter, right? (:

*looks at the ceiling and whistles* yeah because packaging means nothing to me ;D

Im pumped to try these!!! I’m really curious about hard candy. I really want to try their glamouflage concealer. These shadows sound like they’re exactly what I’ve been lookin for. What was their best champagne shade?

I think the only problem is the colors are pretty basic so I would be buying a lot of dupes – still, very nice shadows!

I picked up Attraction on a whim and really love it! Only downfall, IMO these are so tiny, easy to loose or misplace.
