Chanel invites you to inside the history of their cult fragrance N°5 with a video featuring Marilyn Monroe. The word on the street is Marilyn Monroe is the celebrity that helped Chanel N°5 to become the legend it is today as she was well known and quoted for saying she only wore the fragrance to bed.
This video is part of a series that Chanel has made available at www.inside-chanel.com that explores the brand’s heritage and history.
Japonesque Safari Chic Mini Brush Set ($29.95) is a trio of mini synthetic brushes that are cruelty free. Typically synthetic brushes don’t always turn out great for me….for some reason I end up with ones that shed, have scratchy bristles, or just aren’t dense enough to apply makeup properly.
However, on occasion I run into some that are worthy of some attention. Is the Japonesque Safari Chic Mini Brush Trio one of those great synthetic brush sets?
Anyone remember being obsessed with Urban Decay Heavy Metal Liners? I couldn’t be alone in that addiction…right? Anyone? Although at this point, I realize a heavily encrusted lash line full of glitter isn’t exactly the height of makeup sophistication but hey, I had fun with it and that’s what matters right?
No worries though Essence’s Glitter Eyeliner is a little more subtle.
Benefit Fine One One ($30) is a brand new color stick for cheeks and lips releasing this December. This color stick is made up of a trio of shades to lift, shape, and pop on cheeks (and lips) when applied.
British brand, MUA Makeup Academy, is having a great sale right now. 35% Off your total order plus Free Shipping to the US using promo code MUA35. This might be a great time to haul the Heaven and Earth Palette I showed you a few months ago!
L’Oreal Colour Riche Eye Shadow Quads ($5.79) are not new to you as I showed you a little sneak peek of them some weeks ago. If you’re in the UK or certain parts of Europe you might have already had the pleasure of trying these out as they launched a month or so ago abroad.
I’m unsure if you want to call these a Winter 2012 Collection or a Spring 2013 one. I’m leaning towards Spring 2013 myself. I recently came across a display of these at my local Bed, Bath, and Beyond.
Visee Mineral Liquid Cheek Baby Finish is a recently launched gel blush available in five shades. Visee released these with their Fall 2012 Collection but I’m just now getting around to reviewing them.
Supposedly the formula contains mineral powder and gives cheeks a rosy look.
Just sayin’, you NEED Boscia Pink Peppermint Blotting Linens. Once Thanksgiving week is over we are in full on Holiday mode and that means candy cane and peppermint scented and flavored everything. Lattes, hot cocoa, cookies, truffles, heck even perfume and why not your blotting paper too?
A $5 pack of Boscia Pink Peppermint Blotting Linens should most definitely be a part of the your Holiday beauty staples.
It Cosmetics is having their Friends & Family Sale with 25% Off your total order. There is no promo code, simply add what you want into your cart and the deduction is taken right off. You can also get free shipping on orders of $100 or more. This ends on November 19th.
Update: I mentioned I didn’t have details about future shipments in this post but information has become available. I now have images of the future shipments posted up and you can view them by following this link.
Five full size products plush brushes and a sparkling makeup clutch will set you back a mere $49.98 and you can lock in the savings for new seasonal color selections that will be auto delivered to you in April, July, and October 2013.
Here’s a rather fun idea from Tarte, a Swatch Station! Tarte’s swatched their entire Holiday 2012 Collection, videoed it, and slapped it up on youTube for your reference.
I dunno how old you are but the videos kinda reminded me of Braingames which used to be on HBO many years ago. I had visions of Safari Solitaire as they were swatching.
I’ve become the type of person that can’t really watch my favorite guru videos as I really want them to get to the point. And sometimes it turns into a life story rather than a review. Since I’m so crazy busy I sometimes can’t sit through a 10-15 minute review to get to swatches so these videos are kinda awesome. Festive music, quick view of the product, and swatches. Boom! Done in under a minute.
Hopefully they’ll continue with the Swatch Station for the new seasonal releases ahead. It could prove very helpful!
