Sana Hadanomy Aqua Placenta Moisture Cleansing Foam Wash Review

Sana Hadanomy Aqua Placenta Moisture Cleansing Foam Wash is my newest cleanser obsession. I have this thing for foaming cleansers. I’m not really sure where the obsession stems from but I find foaming cleaners so damn fun. We really don’t have a ton of foaming cleansers in the US but Japan and much of Asia embraces them wholeheartedly.

One of the first foaming cleanser loves was Kose Airy Whip. To this day I still use and love it with all my heart! But I’m willing to cheat on it sometimes!

Sana actually just introduced their Aqua Placenta Collection, much of it I reviewed for you already! However, this cleanser just passed by my desk recently and I def had to try it out for size.

Supposedly this cleanser contains “Placenta Essence” which promises to brightens skin. The main ingredient is “Aqua Placenta” which contains natural placenta essence (collagen from an ocean and planet source), three kinds of hyaluronic acids, acerola extract, and glycerin.

I know placenta sounds odd but no worries they aren’t using placenta from an animal or human source. That, would be a little gross for me.

Sana Hadanomy Aqua Placenta Moisture Cleansing Foam Wash comes in an aerosol style can with depressor. The depressor releases just the right amount of cleanser without over doing it.

The cleanser is a dense foam much like hair mousse which you can either use to cleanse your face or use as a mask treatment. I use it as a cleanser to remove any access makeup, dirt, and oil after using a cleansing oil. It does an excellent job of whisking away remaining makeup while leaving skin feeling very soft and smooth after use. The mousse changes into a thick lather as you massage and rinses clean away. It has a slicker feel as you massage it in which results in a softer feel after rinsing.

I have issues with cleansers and my drier skin so I always look for ones that won’t make my skin feel tight after use. This leaves my skin nice and soft without stripping.

It has a light white rose scent supposedly but for me it just smells fresh and clean. It’s mineral oil free as well.

Overall, if you’re looking for a gentle softening cleanser to use in conjunction with your cleansing oil I’d suggest checking this out. This is excellent for whisking away makeup, oil, etc…without stripping skin or making it dry after use. It’s also an excellent pick if you already own and use the Aqua Placenta Collection.

Likey!

I purchased mine from AlphabeautyUK on E-bay for $15.95. That’s terribly jacked up compared to Japanese retail sadly so you might want to shop around and see if you can find a better deal.

Do you use any foaming cleansers?

Any favs?

Do share!

I purchased this item.

Even if it’s not using real placenta, I just could not trust it. Placenta really is used in beauty products and the idea of it is just so gross to me that this entire collection is a big NO.

Oooh I’m going to have to try this. My Skinfood cleanser was awesome during spring and summer and now it’s drying my face out. Thankfully I live a block away from Nijiya. Thanks for reviewing this!

Sounds nice! I really like the Hadanomy pink and blue line, but I have yet to try this cleanser…I think I’ll purchase it after reading this review.

miss d, love the pink as well ;-D the blue is good too! both are very hydrating! Def try the cleanser, it’s a nice companion to the skincare! ps love your tree! just emailed ya ;D

Even if it is awesome, I don’t like thew word “placenta” on something I’ll use on my body. If it doesn’t have real placenta, then I don’t understand why it remains in the name brand… It’s like having a construction company named something like Strong Asbestos Strong Future and then in the panflet “we definitely don’t use asbestos”. I think is bad press for people who don’t think of placenta cream as something desirable. But I have liked some foam cleansers, even if I prefer cleansing oils now.

I’m a big fan of foaming cleansers. I cried when they discontinued the Clean and Clear foaming cleanser about 5 years ago. I just might pick this up at the local Uwajimaya since they have the rest of the line there.

And am I the only one who doesn’t really care about the placenta in the title? Asian brands always tend to over dramatize their stuff, including beauty products. I’ve just learned to take it with a grain of salt.

ugh I cried when they axed the clean and clear eye make up remover released with the foaming cleanser, remember it. I don’t ;-D it’s not a reference to actually placenta from a human or an animal so I cold care less ;-D

I totally remember it. It was during a time when I still wore waterproof mascara regularly and that was the only thing I was able to afford on a high school allowance that worked. Ah, memories.

I know this is a bit late, but do you know the ph level of this foaming cleanser? 😀

i have supposedly combination skin with the tendency to dry out. Will this work well for my usual skincare routine without using a cleansing oil before
(since i don’t wear make-up other than lip gloss)? I really am in need of a cleanser that doesn’t make my skin feel rough and tight!Arigato Gozimasu!

    • the Muse

hi taz absolutely…if you use very little makeup and have combo skin it shouldn’t be a prob at all. It’s actually quite hydrating. I have drier skin and don’t feel it strips or makes my skin tighter after use. Hope this helps! Dou itashimashite 🙂
