Sephora Houndstooth Standing Brush Set Review

This was provided to me by a brand for review but all opinions expressed are my own

The Sephora Houndstooth Standing Brush Set for Holiday 2012 is one of several new brush sets that the brand has available at the moment. Sephora typically does a few brush sets for the Holidays but this year they seem to have an even bigger variety of brushes than ever before!

This set is $25 and features five full size brushes as well as a zip case for traveling.

Take a peek!

Sephora Houndstooth Standing Brush Set contains essential brushes for face and cheeks that comes housed in a houndstooth brush bag with gold accents. The bag actually sits up for easy access to the brushes. One thing I didn’t like about the bag was the fact it does not zip all the way around the bag…it only zips partially open so you have to slip the brushes in and out of it which could cause splitting. So be careful if you do purchase it.

Sephora always does an outstanding job with their brush sets. In some cases they are even better than MAC Holiday Brush Sets as they have longer handles and softer bristles. Their brushes are excellent quality and should last a very long time with proper care. The handles are black with Sephora’s name on the bottom portion of the handle in gold.

This set includes:

  • Powder brush
  • Blush brush
  • Shadow brush
  • Small shadow brush
  • Brow brush/comb

Overall, at $25 this is a nice little starter set if you don’t already own a ton of brushes. The only brush I felt was a tiny cop out was the brow brush/comb as I don’t typically make use of this brush. Perhaps a blending brush would have made the set even better but facts is fact at $5 per brush at this quality and a matching bag you can’t beat the price!

Likey!

Available now at Sephora and Sephora.com

Awww, those look like a great set to try. I have never gotten any of the Sephora bruhes. Ill keep them in mind for my next order:D

I hate plastic lash combs. They don’t separate as well, are harder to keep clean, and break more easily than metal ones.

I keep eying the Advanced Airbrush Set, but I can’t quite commit…I already have good brushes for all of those areas!

I got the IZAK set and love it! I was sucked in by the dots and stripes, but the brushes are actually really nice and so soft.

This set seems great too and the price is right 🙂
