Skin Food Gold Caviar Collagen Double Eye Serum Review

Skin Food Gold Caviar Collagen Double Eye Serum falls victim to being one of those eye creams that promises the galaxy and barely delivers a small planet.

I’ve become fixated with the idea that I should be taking care of my upper eye area as well as the area below my eyes lately. I’ve no idea where this obsession came from but now I’m all about searching out double duty eye creams that I can use above and below my eyes. So when the Skin Food Gold Caviar Collagen Double Eye Serum came into my possession I was ever so happy as this is a duo that not only addresses the problems I have below my eyes but helps to also maintain the delicate skin above them as well.

Take a look!

Skin Food Gold Caviar Collagen Double Eye Serum comes with two eye serums one to address the under eye area and one for the upper eye area.

The Upper Eye formula has a thin, essence-like texture which absorbs easily. Lucky enough I don’t have dryness on my lids or around my brow bone area where I’m applying this as the formula isn’t terribly hydrating. That’s a good thing as I wouldn’t want to make this area too oily or greasy as some eye creams are rather rich. This supposedly helps to firm skin around the area of your eye to prevent sagginess or if you’re already experiencing saggy issues it’ll firm the skin above your eye. I can’t say if this is working or not as of yet as only time will tell.

The Lower Eye formula is also a thinner, essence-like texture but has a little more creaminess to the formula. It absorbs easily however, it doesn’t provide nearly enough moisture for me. I have terribly dry eyes and do need a richer, creamier eye cream so this is a little weak in regards to hydration. It’s supposed to deflate eye bags and firm the skin under eyes. I suffer from puffy eyes and was hopeful this would help but sadly my puffiness is still in place after many weeks of use.

Supposedly this contains Russian Caviar extract as well as pure gold particles and collagen to fill eyes and give them a firmer, more youthful appearance. As you can see the “ingredients” are a tad on the ridiculous side.

By Skin Food standards, this set is a little on the expensive side for what you get. I’ve used it for a several weeks, months even, and really have been unimpressed. I need more moisture for my eyes and any finer lines I have or puffiness isn’t being helped by this duo. You might want to try it if you have saggier skin under your eyes but I suspect it will do very little. In my past experience with firming eye creams you can feel some tightness after application which results in a temporary firmness. This doesn’t provide such.

Skin Food creates some great products but sometimes they feel a little gimmicky too. In particular there eye creams seem to perform the worst for me. Many are VERY hydrating but don’t necessarily treat my problem areas.

Oh well!

Was worth a shot.

Tried it?

Do share!

Skin Food is a Korean brand with a few shops located on the West Coast. You can also find it online at Sasa.com as well as a few other online shops for a little above retail price.

What’s your fav eye cream of the moment?

Hey Muse! I get your posts a day late. Your Nov 19 post hit my inbox at 7:11am EST on Nov 20, but you posted Nov 19 at 5:05pm PST. Today’s post won’t get to me until tomorrow. Any clue why this is happening?

A while ago I ordered a set of samples of these. The undereye one gave me such a terrible allergic reaction I could barely open my eyes. And I’m hardly allergic to anything at all!

Oh so sad! I’m a fan of the Gold Caviar Line, I have some makeup from the line as well, it’s in my to do list to try the eye serum, thank you for your post, won’t be considering it for now. I like the eye cream of the SkinFood Platinum Grape Cell line, but haven’t stick around that long to see the firming effects though, as for the brightening? Perhaps.

I like some skinfood products but with anything if it doesn’t work, scrap it.
