Take a peek!
The Bare Minerals Ready The Luxe Factor Face & Eye Palette is one of several complete face palettes that BE introduced for Holiday 2012. This is a great way to experience the new Ready Eyeshadows and Ready Blushes if you haven’t yet.
The set comes in a zippered mirror pouch with a removable tray that contains the quad, blush, and spots for the brush and eyeliner. The tray also features a little flap to prop it up during application. I like that the tray is removable as once you’re done with the makeup you can easily use the gold pouch it comes in for smaller makeup items, money, etc….!
You get:
- Bare Minerals Ready Eyeshadow Palette with Opulence, Exquisite, Lavish, and Priceless shades
- Bare Minerals Ready Blush in The Grand Entrance
- Bare Minerals Round the Clock Eyeliner in 11 PM
- Double-Ended Mini Blush and Shadow Brush
- Bag
One thing I disliked about the palette is it contains instructions to get the look however, the quad doesn’t tell you the name of those eyeshadows. I just assumed which was which shade. I was surprised as Bare Minerals typically takes extra care to label individual shadow shades.
The look you can achieve from this palette is one of simplicity. This makes an excellent gift for a more mature lady like your mum, great aunt, etc…or if you favor simple yet elegant looks it might just be the fit for you. I like natural shades lately but I’m not really keen on mattes and this contains mostly matte finishes. The look is more of a smoky taupe with a hint of jade that adds a little pop to eyes. The blush is a plummy mauve which goes quite well with the finished look that the quad creates.
Ready Eyeshadows be they matte, shimmer, or satin finishes always have a silky, buttery formula that applies easily and blends out like a dream. I continue to be impressed over and over again with these eyeshadows. Ready Blushes are a little sheerer but I don’t mind since the formula is silky, applies easily, and allows me to build without over doing it (as I’ve been known to do). And finally to complete the look you get a Round the Clock Eyeliner which has a creamy formula that applies easily without skipping and wears quite strong and long.
Overall, Bare Minerals Ready The Luxe Factor Face & Eye Palette doesn’t have a lot of pop but it more than makes up for that with an excellent formula. The shade selection won’t prove for everyone especially if you desire a lot of drama in your looks. But those who like work safe, sophisticated yet simple looks should get on wonderfully with this little palette.
It’s available now, exclusively at the www.qvc.com
