Bare Minerals Simply Irresistible Review & Swatches
Bare Minerals Simply Irresistible is a new 9 Piece Color Collection for Eyes, Lips, and Cheeks for Holiday 2012. If you’re more of a traditionalist and aren’t really loving all the Ready pressed products that BE has recently been releasing you’ll absolutely love this set.
This takes us back to Bare Minerals as we originally know them, their loose format. The Simply Irresistible set contains essentials for a complete holiday look (or two, or three…) for as little as $49. Quite the bargain! Plus it has a must have shade of blush that you can’t pass up on if you love Bare Minerals Fruit Cocktail.

These are ALL in full size products so there is a value to be had here as there is well over $100 dollars worth of Bare Minerals in the set.
The set comes in a gorgeous gold lame box so you can slip the top cover off, place a ribbon on it, a tag, and you’re good to gift it. All the products also sport gold toppers and handles for a more elegant look.
Every single piece in the collection was perfect in terms of formula and pigmentation. The shadows all have a silky formula with a great color pay off as well as the blush. Speaking of the blush that’s one of the best parts of this set in my opinion. Charm is a neon pink that rivals my favorite blush from Bare Minerals, Fruit Cocktail, in terms of POP! This is gorgeous! I’d had never thought to pair it up with warmer khaki shades that were included with this kit but it actually works out VERY well. The shade is quite unique and bright oh boy! The nice part about the color is it can be applied sheer for a glow of pink or heavier for that just came out of the cold look on cheeks. The eyeshadows create a smoky khaki green look on my eyes with graduating shades of green for crease and lid and a hint of gold to highlight.
Posh, Heirloom, Queen Phyllis
Also included is 100% Natural Lipgloss in Pink Marzipan. This has a thick yet lightweight texture that lends a very subtle hint of pink to lips. The formula is thinner than Moxie glosses yet still thick enough to create a nice pouty finish to lips.
And finally to polish off your look a full size mascara and liner is available. Round the Clock Waterproof Eyeliners have a soft, creamy formula with a long wear that doesn’t smudge or fade. Flawless Definition Curl & Lengthen Mascara leaves some crunchiness behind but adds nice volume, length, and curl to lashes.
The only thing I wasn’t excited about in the set was the double ended brush. The powder brush was too tiny for blush use and the eyeshadow one was too tiny for proper shadow application.
To polish off the look they give you a generously size pot of Secret Radiance All-Over Face Color. You have to be careful with this as it can give cheeks and face a discoball finish so do use sparingly with a lighter hand.
Charm Blush and Secret Radiance All Over Powder
This set is a no brainer. You need it! As a gift, for yourself…doesn’t matter! It’s brilliant. The value is excellent, the colors are stunning, and it’s a great intro set to Bare Minerals if you’ve never explored the brand. Those who aren’t really “ready” for Ready Eyeshadow, Blush, and the slew of pressed products that Bare Minerals has been introducing will be quite happy to have their beloved loose formulas back in this great gift set.
It was easy to use, it created a really lovely look, and it would make an excellent gift!
