Bath & Body Works Moisture Swirl Hand Soap Review

Bath & Body Works has released three new Moisture Swirl Hand Soaps for Holiday 2012. These are a limited edition hand soaps that seem to be available in store only (I haven’t had the pleasure of seeing them online).

Twisted Peppermint, Vanilla Bean Noel, and Winter Candy Apple are the three scents you can choose from. I picked up Twisted Peppermint recently, here’s some thoughts!

There are a little expensive at $9.50 each for 12 oz versus $5 for the 8 oz versions. However, if you don’t mind the extra cost you might want to check them out. Especially if you’ve had issues with Bath & Body Works Hand Soaps before in regards to dryness. I know many folks have complained that they generally like the Bath & Body Works Hand Soaps but feel they dry their hands out. I’ve never had the issue to be honest but Moisture Swirl might be your solution.

These are a thicker, creamier version of the regular moisturizing formula. It’s basically as if Bath & Body Works swirled together hand lotion along with hand soap to create this hand soap. It lathers up quite nicely and has a super rich hydrating feel. It’s like I’m applying hand lotion under running water as I wash my hands.

I picked up Twisted Peppermint as it’s one of my favorite holiday scents. The scent of crushed peppermint candy and vanilla is quite strong and leaves hands nicely scented.

I think the formula is excellent for Winter when my hands tend to be drier and chapped due to the cooler weather. As I mentioned above if you had issues with the regular hand soaps you might want to check this variation out as it leaves hands quite moisturized after use.

Only problem?

Don’t love it too much as it’s available for a limited time! Boo!

Available at Bath & Body Works.

Anyone try it?

Do share!

I purchased this item.

Sounds better than their normal moisturizing formula, which just dries out my hands and then leaves a light coat of slime over them that never actually absorbs. Just gross.

I love the smell of these soaps, but since they have the BBW moisturizer or an equivalent in the actual soap, I have to skip it. I’m allergic something fierce to whatever they use to fragrance their lotions. Itchy, swollen, red inflamed hands are what make these a no go for me. 🙁 Its sad, because I love the scent or peppermint!

I tried this in the store and I really like the formula as recently the B&BW soaps have been drying my hands out but I worry this isn’t as cleansing as the other soaps.
