Fortune Cookie Soap Solid Smell Good Review

I admit I stuffed my own stocking with Fortune Cook Soap Solid Smell Good in Candy Cane Fluff this year. What? A girl gotta spoil herself sometimes.

I’ve been very pleased with Fortune Cookie Soap’s offerings lately so I ordered a few goodies from their Christmas Collection. One of those items was their Solid Smell Good.

Take a look!

I don’t typically use roll on fragrances or solid ones like this very often. Actually I don’t own a solid fragrance that I can think of. I do however, own roll on perfumes but unfortunately don’t use them nearly enough. I just prefer mists for some reason.

This was a pleasant little surprise though. This comes in a chunky little solid that kinda resembles deodorant. It twists up and applies directly from the tube by sliding it across skin. It has an easy, moisturizing glide across my neck and pulse points and doesn’t feel sticky or overly dewy. After I apply it I rub my two wrists together to blend it out. Instant scent! It doesn’t have a strong throw but it does have a nice linger and adds just a touch of fragrance. The scent is noticeable but does require touch ups as the day progresses for the best results. Touch ups are easy enough since it travels so easily due to the smaller size and ease of application directly from the tube.

I purchased one of the Christmas scents, Candy Cane Fluff. This is a mix of cool peppermint and marshmallow. The marshmallow takes the bite away from the refreshing peppermint and creates this soft, delicate foody scent. It’s quite pleasant particularly if you love candy canes and marshmallows.

Solid Smell Good is a convenient way to get a bit of fragrance on skin. It’s cute for carrying around for quick fragrance touch ups and the scents are unique enough I’ll want to come back for more particularly seasonal ones!

Too bad Fortune Cookie Soap doesn’t do tarts! I’d love to smell Candy Cane Fluff in a candle or tart of some kind.

Likes!

Best news? All the Christmas Collection is on sale including this Solid Smell Good.

I used to stay away from solid fragrances until I got the Chloe necklace with solid perfume in it. From that day on I was sold! 🙂

Re-happy Christmas! (my comment in the happy holidays post got lost)
I use solid fragances in oil burners all the time. Instead of adding 2 drops of oils to the water, add two tiny dabs of the perfume of your choice. It works because they are oil based. Alcohol based scents last like a minute though. I’m using TBS’s ginger (oil) with Lush’s vaniliary (solid) right now and my house smells like a Christmas bakery 😛

oops sorry marta I’m slowing replying to those and a happy christmas to you and a new year ahead ;-D really? interesting maybe I’ll try hehe!

Hm… not that big a fan of marshmallow, but I trust you and mint scents — you and I have similar tastes in mints!

hey audrey ;-D I LOVE mint ;-D this is more foody than minty tbh! so if you want something cool/crisp/refreshing it doesn’t fit the bill sadly :-/ the marshmallow makes it smell cake-y or bakery-like! there’s mint but more marshmallow.
