Holiday Chuck Time!

Can only wear ’em once a year but I rock ’em as much as I can during the month of December!

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. You have the sickest Chucks collection! Please share a full collection pic?

  • Ruth

did you see on converse.com they have gift cards for $100 but you only pay for $75?

      • Ruth

me too! i figure that i’ll redeem them the next time they have a sale. I’m still eyeballing the pink cindy lou who and the dc comics series

        • the Muse

i wish they did a few more low tops on the dc. they are easier for me to wear with business suit to work than a high

          • Ruth

totally agree! usually don’t wear a lot of high tops, maybe 3 pairs in my collection but the DC series…so good. journey’s has some of them on sale. trying to resist but going to the mall tomorrow and have a $5 coupon that’s been burning a hole in my pocket.

          • the Muse

i love the high tops but I think the lo are easier to wear to work sometimes ;-D do they? I try to avoid the site, so much danger ;D

You have lots of Chucks, clearly, but!!! Have you ever run across a pair that weren’t canvas but some other fabric and the outside is quilted? I found these at a Goodwill, quilted all black Converses. I also have another pair that are black silk with pink blossoms embroidered on them. I can’t find either pair anywhere! But they’re definitely official Converses. I’m lucky they fit too, heehee.

hey danielle…yeah I have a few. a neon pink pair and a brown pair. one low and one high. They release quilted every so often ;-D I don’t have any black with pink blossoms, those sound cute but I do have a variety with floral embroideries…they tend to release them during the Spring. they could be an older, rarer pair you have ;-D as they really don’t do a ton with floral designs lately :-/ aside from the kid releases that is.

@danielle-one of my friends has a pair of the black satiny pairs and i wanna snatch them from her feet everytime she wears them! i have the same pair but they are purple satin instead, so pretty! *swoon* i think that we got them about 7 or 8 years ago, or even longer than that.

      • the Muse

uh oh danielle don’t talk to ruth she’ll start convincing you to buy children’s sized converse and make your chuck life even worst than it already is. ignore her, she’ll go away if you don’t say anything! she’s an evil enabler!

        • Ruth

HEY! I CAN HEAR YOU!! =P

oh, yeah, if your small enough, you can totally wear children’s shoes! I wear a 7 1/2 womens but can totally rock a big kids 5 1/2. it’s two sizes down from your regular size. sometimes they have different styles and they’re a little less expensive.last year i got the dr. seuss ones that are white and red stripped with horton, fox, fish, and a bunch of others. these weren’t in the womens section, so i got an awesome pair that most adults won’t have. by telling Muse that she can wear kids sizes, i helped her expand her collection =D

also, if you like uggs, the kids styles are about $40-50 less. I’m on the East Coast and don’t care if others think they’re ugly, they’re warm!
