Khroma Kardazzle Palette Review & Swatches

Today I’ll be reviewing the new Khroma Kardazzle Eyeshadow & Face, it’s actually Khloe’s Kardazzle Palette to be exact. I looked out the window, thankfully it’s not raining fire. Some of you will enjoy this review, some not so much…but facts is facts love ’em or hate ’em the Kardashian’s makeup always looks flawless.

Khroma Beauty & Makeup is the new line that the K’s introduced recently to mainstream drugstores. I located the collection at Harmons but since that time it has popped up in a variety of places including Ulta.

The Kardazzle Complete Face Palettes are a tiny credit card size palette that features eyeshadow, highlighter, bronzer, and blush for $12.99.

Take a look!

Khroma Beauty is already running into some lawsuits due to the name. I don’t have exact details but read an article or too regarding this issue. Thankfully it wasn’t due to packaging as this tiny palette is very similiar in design to the Too Faced Glamour to Go Palette.

Each palette is about the size of a credit card and makes for a very portable, easy to travel with size. There’s a mirror inside the first tier with the nine shadows and a slide out draw features the blush, highlighter, and bronzer. If you have an overnight or weekend trip it’s the perfect size to take with you to create a variety of looks. If I’m honest, I can get a week’s worth of looks out of this tiny thing without an issue! Just need to supply my own lip color and I’m ready to go.

There are four matte shades here and four metallic. I thought perhaps the metallic would be along the lines of the Cargo Metallico Palette formula but I actually prefer the Cargo ones over this. That isn’t to say they aren’t good, because actually, they are nice. The metallics have a creamy texture with excellent color pay off, an easy to blend formula, and look quite popping on eyes. I saw minor frostiness from them but nothing that turned me off completely. They are most comparable in texture to Stila Eyeshadow or the shadows in the Too Faced Bon Bon Palette released for Holiday 2012. The matte shades are also fairly nice with a silky formula that blends easily. There’s a tiny bit of chalkiness but if you use a sponge applicator you can get a very smooth, soft focus from the mattes.

Both the bronzer and the blush also have equally nice formulas, at this price, I’d say they fair quite well. The formula has some chalkiness to it but it blends out to a smooth, flawless finish with a satiny feel. They have excellent color pay off as well.

I didn’t love the highlighter in all honesty. It’s a gold luminous shade that’s very pretty but produces a little too much sparkle on my face.

The palette is very much Khloe’s look. They are all shades that you might have seen her wearing or would be flattering on her skin type, hair shade, eye color, etc….

Overall, by budget makeup standards, the Kardazzle Palette is actually quite an ok purchase. This price is fair, the formulation on the products excellent, and they avoided one major negative aspect with palettes like this, including cream products. The lack of gloss or lipstick in the palette is a positive point as it avoids a mess and would likely be a hard, dense lipstick product which would bring down the value of the palette. The contents as is, is perfect. If you’re not interested in these warmer shades you can go with Kim’s Kardazzle Palette which features smoky shades.

Below I’m using three of the metallic shades on my eyes and the blush on my cheeks from this palette.

If you’re on a budget and can get past any issues you might have with the Kardashian’s this might be worth a look at and haul!

I liked it.

I purchased this item.

I’ve heard mostly negative reviews on these palette. this is one of the better ones that I’ve seen.

I think they would’ve been better off doing a collection with MAC considering a lot of the stuff they wear is from there. I know Kim wears a certain MAC lipstick, but I can’t remember the name.
I don’t think I’d see them wearing any of these products that they’ve “created”.
Then again, I doubt any celebrity would really wear their own makeup collection.

Seems like a good one. Nice to see a matte/shimmer balance at that price point. Saw a review last week for some other products from this line.. a larger palette, liner, mascara, and lashes… and it was awful. Maybe some inconsistencies within the brand.

I’m pretty neutral about this palette. It’s pretty, but I’m personally not a fan of the packaging-it looks a little tacky to me. The shadows are gorgeous, though! xoxo

Your swatches look great! Some of the other swatches I’ve seen make this palette out to have very sheer color pay off. Is it just your good swatches or can I really pull off a decent look with these shadows/blushes?

    • the Muse

i reviewed the entire palette in this post ella with a look I did using it hope this helps you decide.

Thank you for this review! I have read a few that “forgot” to mention the makeup and talked about the K-girls. I really like the packaging but I’ll wait for a sale or pass on this. I rather have some NYX in this price range LOL

I hate that this palette interests me. Thankfully I can talk myself out of buying it because I’m not interested in the bronzer/blush/highlighter. If it was just an eyeshadow palette, I would buy this palette and hate myself for it. lol

I saw this, immediately thought of my Too Faced Glamour To Go. I don’t care for the other products, eyeshadows are okay.

I have been looking around for a face palette that was small enough to put in my bag, but had a good selection of colors and not too many boring nudes. I wasn’t sure about these palettes at first because I figured the K sisters would choose colors that suited their own coloring. I have dark hair with red highlights and blue-green eyes. I figured their eyeshadows would be selected to flatter brown eyes.

Ulta had a coupon, plus Khroma was B1G1-1/2 off, so it was a good deal. I chose Khloe and Kourtney’s palettes. Kim’s colors were too contrasty, cool and blue based for my preference.

To my astonishment, the texture of the shadows is exquisite. The pigments are finely milled and blend beautifully, so that you can get a sheer wash of color (especially nice on the pearlized colors which look quite intense in the pans) as well as a more dramatic look. The colors are all interesting too. These are some of the nicest shadows and blushers I have tried.

I think they got the formulation right, and I hope they expand their kollection. The price, I might add, is fantastic for the quality of the products.

I must add another comment about this palette, because although I swatched the colors on my wrist last night, I didn’t actually try them on my face until today.

I decided to start with Kourtney’s palette. Again, I am surprised at the quality of these powders. The colors, texture, application–is just beautiful. I felt that i looked enhanced, not made up. I wore the blush, the matte tan color (3rd from left in top row) and used the highlighter on the brow bone. Everything had good color payoff without looking chalky or over-applied. I followed up with brown eyeliner and tinted lipgloss. Great!

The Khroma makeup collections were on clearance at my local Kmart for less than 4 bucks a piece. Grabbed one 🙂

seems there is a lawsuit against them for the collection could be why they are on clearance!
