L’Oreal True Match Super Blendable Crayon Concealer Review & Swatches
L’Oreal True Match Super Blendable Crayon Concealer is a new range of chubby concealers pencil that will be hitting drugstores shortly. I located and purchased mine at Harmons.
I purchased two of the six shades they had available. I realize there was some ranting about the shade selection but I imagine displays will vary from drugstore to drugstore so there might be more than six shades available. I don’t believe they are limited edition and they will likely be added to the permanent collection at some point. This leads me to believe more shades are on the way so don’t panic if you don’t find a suitable match.
Let’s take a look!
L’Oreal True Match Super Blendable Crayon Concealer are 0.1 oz in size so they don’t contain a ton of product. Each is a jumbo size pencil with a twist up design so no sharpening is required. They come with a rather precise point at first but I imagine it’ll wear down with use. This isn’t a big issue for me though as I don’t require my concealer to have a point.
I was hoping these would work under eyes but knew they probably would be best suited for cover up issues in and around your face. Under my eyes I felt the formula was a little dry. The pencil has a creamy texture but blending out it feels a tad on the dry side which results in creasing into finer lines.
The pencil is very handy for swiping under eyes or across specific locations on your face. The tip has an easy, smooth glide and blends out decently well on hydrated skin but not as nicely under eyes. Coverage is sheerer with a semi-matte finish. They build well enough but no matter how much I apply I noticed they sheered out to a barely there finish. This isn’t great if you have major issues to conceal but perhaps for minor problem areas it might work out.

Overall, I didn’t find anything particularly wonderful to love about the L’Oreal True Match Super Blendable Crayon Concealer in all honesty. They might have just missed the mark here as a hydrating formula and better pigmentation would probably gain them a rave from me. Better hydration would make for easier glide under eyes and better coverage would would hide my dark circles, fine lines, etc…..used as a spot concealer they might do the trick but if you have major issues that need covering you’ll want to go with something that has medium to heavy coverage as this is a tad too sheer to conceal problems.
Sorry L’Oreal. Great idea but the formula was lacking.
I’d love to hear your thoughts if they worked for you! Or if they didn’t!
