About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. These always tickle me because my husband’s name is Matt xD. This one especially since it’s NUDE~! haha

  • breyerchic04

The first one was pretty “nude” too.

They didn’t use the BF’s last name yet, so I’m safe 😉

    • the Muse

lol that would be cute if he popped up in the palette! You’d HAVE to buy it!

Some of the shades Look similar to Sonia Kashuk’s Eye On Neutral Palette. I own The Meet Matt(e) Palette and I like it for being so versatile, but I can also see that Matt Abdul kinda looks like Matt Patel from the Meet Matt(e) Palette at least from afar that’s what these colors remind me of.

$42? That price point surprises me, especially since TheBalm is usually so reasonably priced.

My brothers name is included in this set. So Funny. Will probably have to get this for that reason alone.

  • Cynthia Ramirez

My brothers name is Matt, and his name was in the first meet matte palette. I’m happy he didn’t make it to the meet matte nude palette, that would be weeeeeiiiirrrdd! But I will have to pick this up! I finally got around to picking up the Nude’tude palette when it was on Hautelook and holy crap I Loooove theBalm! I always reach for my Nude’tude palette over my UD Naked palettes. I’m reaaaally excited for this one. 😀

The Balm has THE most brillian ideas for name..!! I cannot stop laughing…too bad i am not really a fan of matte shades so I may skip this one ..besides I already have the nude tude one

  • Bethany

I have held off buying the Meet Matt(e) palette. I think I will have to get this one. I love the Balm!

    “Matt Hung”????

OMG…I don’t have any products from the Balm in my stash, but I may have to buy this pallete just for something to look at when I’m in need of some serious giggling!

I am also shocked by that price point! With theBalm’s typical cardboard packaging, there’s really no excuse for it. I waited a long time before buying Nude’Tude and Meet Matt(e) last year at half price on HauteLook. This palette doesn’t seem to bring anything new to the party that would make me pay retail.

Ok so I am late to this party,, I purchased Matte nude and Matrimony last week,, UGH total cr*p!!!!!!! For what these cost 42$ each, I did not follow my in the trash it goes mantra haha I returned them after a few days. No matter WHAT eye primer I used they just would not show on my lids, and for the colors that did? Within 4 hours it started to fade, not good when I work 10hour shifts. And both palettes did the same thing, such a sad disappointment, I really wanted to like these because the colors were amazing looking, eh oh well. Live and learn.
The price should be about half of what they charge. I had a Jordana baked shadow last longer than these puppies and that only cost $2.49
