Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab Red Bpal Fragrance Oil Review

Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab Red Bpal Fragrance Oil

Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab, creator of obscure, unique fragrance oils, launched a Fraggle Rock Perfume Oil Collection a few months ago. I’ve been reviewing the collection for you the last several weeks and came across some fond Fraggle-y fragrances in the collection.

I’m old enough to remember when Fraggle Rock was on HBO and quite have fond memories of watching it (as an adult I even have the DVDs, should I admit that? Probably not!).

Red was a Fraggle I loved to hate. On one hand her positive, perky personality was quite inspiring but did you ever notice she had a slight case of bi-polar? Seriously, girlfriend was happy and energetic one minute and sad and dishearten the next. Poor, confused Fraggle.

At least her fragrance isn’t all over the damn scale.

Red was a whirlwind of activity on the Fraggles. She was athletic, competitive, and a little troublemaker at times. Her signature was her red flaming fuzzy pigtails.

I recently fell in love with Fortune Cookie Soap’s Goody Goody Gum Drop Hydrate Me this Holiday and Red seems to mimic many of those fruity notes. If not an exact dupe it is a VERY close one.

The official notes for the fragrance are sweet red currant, tangy cranberry, pink musk, and spicy pink pepper. For me I get both sour, tangy, and sweetness from the scent. I pick up some citrus-y notes on my skin with a tangy cranberry and a twist of red currant. The pink mush and spicy pink pepper, which I expected to smell on dry down, are REALLY a soft backdrop to a good deal of fruity sweetness with just the right amount of twang!

It’s really a fun fragrance that stays fun throughout the wear. Even the dry down is sweet and tangy!

This could positively be my favorite Fraggle Fragrance Oil to date.

Loved it!

If you like sweet fruity notes with a bit of ZING! Red is exactly the fragrance you seek.

Muse Approved.

This sounds like the kind of bpal I’d like, usually I’m intimidated by them.

Yes, I went up and down on my feelings towards Red too…she did seem to be ALL over the place (and sometimes annoyingly loud). This scent sounds good though!
I wonder how much our old Fraggle Happy Meal toys would sell for? But they’re so cute, I guess I’ll still keep them for now. And don’t worry Muse, I too have the first season of Fraggle Rock on DVD and will probably buy more! But for now, I’m just trying to get the final season of Jem- one of my favorite cartoons EVER! Oh, I wish MAC (or even better, Nyx) would do a good Jem collection…I’d be all over that! XD

I seriously have a tight sexy Jem tank top that I love (it’s black with hot pink glitter and Jem faces. Oh and I also have a pink tee, but it’s not nearly as cute.). Can’t help it; it makes me look like hot stuff! Haha!
