Burt’s Bees Lip Shine Review & Swatches
Burt’s Bees 100% Natural Lip Shine is a new round of glossy, shiny lipgloss available in five shades for $7 each. I’ve never technically tried any of Burt’s other gloss products so I have nothing to compare this too sadly.
I will say it’s an excellent launching pad for me as I know I’ll be going back for more shades and now I want to try their other lipgloss products as well because if they are half as good as this Lip Shine you can dub me a happy Muse.
This natural, sheer lipgloss is enriched with moisturizing Apricot Wax which creates highly glossy finish on lips as well as provides a super moisturizing experience through the gloss’s wear.
My lips are terribly chapped at the moment and this has been a loving, healing, and hydrating companion to my sore, red, flaky lips.
Housed in a 0.5 oz tube with a slanted plastic applicator this gloss has a jelly-like texture which provides a plush finish on lips. It makes my lips look pouty, plush, and soft. The finish is very glossy with the sheerest of tints. I picked it up in Pucker which gave my lips a hint of natural red.
It is the type of gloss product that makes itself known as it doesn’t have a completely lightweight feel but it isn’t uncomfortable either nor does it have a sticky, tacky wear. Even sans tack it still manages to stick around on my lips for two to three hours without migrating.
Possibly the nicest thing about the product is the fact it adds moisture on first application and continues to hydrate throughout the wear thanks to the sunflower seed oil it contains.
I can’t really define the taste…it’s a little odd but not unpleasant…slightly sweet….!
Overall, I would happily pick up more shades of this delightful little gloss. It works well on its own and will make a fantastic gloss for topping on lipsticks and stains. Only problem I see is the lack of shades….variety is the spice of life and for this gloss loving lady I def need more than five shades to choose from.
Do pick one or two up!
I think you’ll like them as much as I do.
Muse Approved.
