Etude House Princess Etionette Crystal Powder Review & Swatches
Etude House released Princess Etionette Crystal Powder for Holiday 2012 along with two very lovely Blushers. This week I decided I’d review this very pretty powder!
I’m sure I’m going to create some lemmings with this.
Take a look!
Comparable to Les Merveilleuses de Laduree Makeup Collection in terms of packaging the very pretty Princess Etionette Collection features pink, princess-y packaging that’s sure to please those who put out of importance on presentation of their makeup products.
The Princess Etionette Crystal Powder comes housed in little plastic powder jar with a lace and ribboned puff for application. Truly the packaging is drool worthy here and very vanity worthy should you enjoy displaying your makeup.
The powder jar has laced edged elements with bronze-y gold accents that make up the face plate and tiny topper. The plastic jar seems to be made from a lightweight resin. It’s very pretty to look at to say the least. The little puff applicator is also equally pretty with a lace overlay and sweet little ribbon for holding it.
Although pretty the powder inside is actually very practical as well. This houses a very generous 0.35 oz of powder and once you go through it it’s quite simple to lift the sifter and refill with a powder of your choice should you desire.
The powder is a pale transparent shade with tiny refined pieces of shimmer. The shimmer didn’t make a guest starring appearance on my face thankfully after application and is so minimal it blends easily away. The powder is silky with a finely milled texture and smooths onto skin and sets makeup beautifully. Although transparent it might be a little pasty on tanned or darker skin tones so if you do indulge just spend some extra time blending it out to avoid this.
Overall, I admit to falling in love with the packaging because I’m an absolute packaging h0r when it comes to pretty makeup pieces. However, the powder inside is also very practical and quite lovely so I won’t be so scared to use this as a setting powder for my makeup. It has a silky, mattifying finish that gives a brighter, more flawless appearance.
Quite gorgeous!
Loves this!
Muse Approved.
I had a friend in Korea grab it for me but many E-bay sellers have it available and I believe Imomoko.com is selling it now as well.
If you tried it, would love to hear your thoughts!
