Garnier BB Cream Skin Renew Miracle Skin Perfector All-Day Shine Control Formula

Garnier BB Cream Renew Miracle Skin Perfector is now available in new Medium/Deep and Deep Shades. Along with the new shades a new oily skin formulation will become available shortly at drugstores.

I’ve reviewed this BB Cream in a few prior posts and I’m not a big fan in all honesty but I’m sure it’ll be cause for some excitement that it’s available in darker shades to suit more skin tones.

It promises to address skin concerns such as such as discoloration, dullness, blotchiness and dryness while perfecting skin with a tinted formula. The new formula is for combination and oily skin types and promises to combat shine through the wear.

It’s a formula I really want to love but the sheerness disappoints me.

Are you a fan?

Excited for the new shades?

I’m interested in the shine control version, even though I prefer medium to full coverage foundations (I know this is a BB cream, but potato-potahto). God forbid I possess any kind of willpower.

How’re you feeling, Muse? Better, I hope!

I feel so much better kb, was just replying to your earlier comment that I felt better 😀 thanks for asking!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! phew thank god! hate being sick!

The shine control has fairly good coverage. Will cover dark spots and acne marks, but really red pimples will still show a bit. If that puts it in a bit of a perspective.

I actually found this and bought it already. I like the formula better then the original, but the shade match makes it a no go. Even though Light-Medium is lighter then the non oil free ..its still too dark . My face looks orange. Not only that but the original came out with a new Fair shade. Wth. They should have done it with this one too, and it would have been perfect for me. Unfortunately it’ll be going back. I’m sticking with Dr. Jart.

virgina I had the same issues, it also made me dull :-/ not a good look!

I’ll have to keep an eye out for the Fair; I’m actually a fan of the “original” formula, but now that my tan is gone, I need something a bit lighter.

A bit OT, but does *anyone* know of a specific store in the Los Angeles area that sells “real” BB Cream? TIA

If this came out with a Fair shade, I’d be interested – I don’t mind sheer coverage, I don’t really want more than light coverage most days. But Light/Medium is still too dark for my ghostly pale skin.

(PS Muse – glad you’re feeling better. I caught the creeping crud last week too and have been living on cough syrup and Sudafed for a week, but I’m on the mend now too.)

aw man sorry blue. that sucks. Believe me, been there, done that. I feel a hell of a lot better. Hopefully can go back to my exercise routine as well today, couldn’t even ATTEMPT to treadmill last week, just couldn’t breath right from my nose. Hope you’re feel much better <3!

I got this in “light” when I was in France over December. En tough it’s runny, the coverage is better than the original. It also goes on very smoothly. I love, but I’m a light coverage kind of girl…

I love this BB cream. I bought an expensive one (Dior) and it went on like a thick paste. This one I thought would not cover enough but it does with my multi purpose sunscreen under it. (Clarins SPF 40 and tinted)

Made me break out and that never happens from my normal skin care…yuck

I heard Garnier has a another bb cream in the UK that’s denser than the previous one. I’m hoping they release it stateside because it seems to be getting pretty good reviews!

I was looking at this yesterday in the store, but the sales associate said some horrible things about this bb cream. That totally ruined my thought of purchasing it.

The original version of the Garnier BB cream is now available in a Fair color that is perfect for those of us who found the Light-Medium too dark. I do not believe the new combo/oily version is available in the Fair shade though.

Oh by the way.. Do you know that I noticed that the asian and western version of this is I think different? As much as i dont like the western version, i kinda liked the asian version and can go through using it for my oily skin during winter. 🙂

    • the Muse

I’ve only tried the british and us versions rica sadly not the Asian one, I didn’t even know it launched in Asia…!

  • baypay

thanks for an amazing review on this bb cream! is this available in US 🙂

    • the Muse

this isn’t a review baypay…just a post about the new formula. this is available in us drugstores since it launched last year. Hope this helps.

I actually really like this product. I have a great skincare routine that works for me so I don’t have much in the way of breakouts or redness anymore. I do get a little red around my nose and if I’ve been using to much retinol. The color of this works well with my skin tone (light with yellow undertones). It stays put pretty much all day without a primer. It starts to feel a little uncomfortable after about 8 hours (I don’t like to wear makeup much longer then that anyways) It is quite thin in texture and has a bit of a smell (not offensive or chemically though to me) I mix sunscreen with my moisturizer, which also has sunscreen so I don’t use this for sun protection.

I am in love with this! I have notices that a lot of people have been complaining about the scent of the USA version, but our European has a really nice soft scent. By the way, the review is awesome.

    • the Muse

hi there anna aw thanks so glad you enjoy the review. I didn’t mind the scent at all either 🙂

  • Sally

I just want to say that the new oily combo version has a new formula too with better coverage. I think you should try it out!
If you want to that is…
