MAC Archie’s Girls Collection for Spring 2013
Official word of the MARC Archie’s Girls Collection hit my inbox today. Archie’s Girls is one of the first collection’s I’ve been quite excited about from MAC in a while!
It looks like a rather fun line up for the upcoming Valentine’s Day season and has a certain cute, playful romantic vibe. I think some of the accessories are probably the best part!

Betty and Veronica – the names alone are a vivid four-colour flashback to an era of sweet, comic book innocence. Their eternal love triangle, with all-American freckle-faced Archie, is legendary in its teen tension, tight sweaters and two-toned saddle shoe charm. Girl-next-door blonde Betty vs. vivacious, spoiled rich-girl, brunette Veronica, an epic rivalry, now in two contrasting MAC colour collections, packaged in exclusively designed cases.

The collection will be available in NYC on January 31st and launches online and at MAC counters on February 7th, 2013.
I’m glad I’m a Veronica, because she got all the pretty (I know that’s subjective lol) stuff! I’m interested in both of the eye quads, and maybe the Veronica nail polishes.
MAC’s “Archie” is freaking me out…he’s, like, staring directly into my soul, and not in a good way.

I love the Caramel Sundae (I’m guessing that’s Betty’s?) eyeshadow palette and Veronica’s lipsticks and lipglasses. They’re so gorgeous!!
Those Veronica lipsticks totally knocked my socks off! The blush was lovely as well.
BTW, I think the two eyeshadow palette pics may need to be swapped, Muse

This looks like so much fun and I’m actually looking forward to a new MAC collection! The Betty colors look super sweet and the Veronica side will be great for evening. Speaking on, is anyone else kinda freaked out with the face the Veronica model is making?

i grew up reading archie!!!! and honestly i think the packaging kind of.. sucks!!!! i think they could have done so much more it just looks like they put stickers on..
My first reaction was that the packaging looks kind of cheap…like the sort of thing you get in ‘play’ makeup sets as a kid.
I want to buy the Ginger model boy and maybe the purple Veronica palette, but only if it swatches well.

This collection doesn’t appeal to me at all as far as the theme goes. And I am afraid I am not particularly interested in the shades that are featured in this collection either. I’ll pass on this collection. Hey, at least for once I’m doing the right thing for my finances!!!

I’m totes a Veronica! I don’t understand why they call her “brunette” though – seems like a raven haired girl to me!
I know it’s a coincidence (maybe?) but it’s interesting that MAC and Urban Decay are both coming out with items where it’s two girls to choose from. Glinda v. Theadora and Betty v. Veronica.
I love 2 of Betty’s lipsticks and one of Veronica’s! I can’t wait for them to come out!
