Make Up For Ever Make Up Bag Remix Tour

You have to pretty confident in your brand to launch something as cool and brilliant as the new Make Up For Ever Make Up Bag Remix.

So what is the Make Up For Ever Make Up Bag Remix Tour you might be wondering?

It’s a mobile tour launching soon designed to bring education to consumers in an engaging way, teaching them how to actually do their own make up, not just have it applied. As part of the Make Up Bag Remix concept, Make Up For Ever’s team of professional artists will take a look inside consumers make up bags and teach them how to properly use what they already own, regardless of the brand, as well as overhaul products that are the wrong shade or texture.

How cool is that?

That’s right. Anything you already own and keep stock in your makeup bag you can bring to the mobile tour bus and have a Make Up For Ever cast member take a look through it and teach you how to use it correctly. Pretty darn nifty if you ask me! I’ll be bringing all my highlighters and stuffing them into my makeup bag and asking the nearest professional to please make me some kinda of expert at applying these and P.S. How about liquid liner? I SO need to perfect my cat eye!

The touch kicks off shortly in the following locations:

  • Los Angeles, CA: February 1st – 3rd
  • San Francisco, CA: February 9th – 10th
  • Las Vegas, NV: February 16th – 17th
  • Dallas, TX: February 23rd – 24th
  • Miami, FL: March 2nd – 3rd
  • New York, NY: March 9th – 10th
  • Boston, MA: March 23rd – 24th
  • Chicago, IL: April 6th – 7th
  • Toronto, ON: April 13th – 14th

Consumers are invited to book appointments for 30 minute one-on-one make up bag evaluations inside the Make Up School, where a professional artist will go through their bag, provide an interactive, hands-on lesson explaining how to apply their products, and show them how to supplement what they already own to create their most flattering look. Each client will walk away with a new make up bag, a custom face chart detailing how to use the products they brought, and a list of any additional products recommended by the artist to round out their look. A professional photographer will also be on-site to capture each clients “after” look, which will be uploaded to an album on the Make Up For Ever Facebook page.

For those on-the-go with limited time, Make Up For Ever will have make up stations dedicated to quick lip and complexion touch ups featuring Pro Finish, the brands innovative new multi-use compact foundation launching in 2013.

Consumers can book appointments to secure a Make Up Bag Remix session beginning January 23rd by visiting Make Up For Ever’s Facebook Page. Sessions are available from 12:00pm – 8:00pm on Saturday and 11:00am – 7:00pm on Sunday.

For the Make Up Bag Remix Tour, Make Up For Ever teamed up with actress Christina Ricci to help design a limited-edition Make Up For Ever Remix Make Up Bag that will debut on February 1st at the Make Up For Ever Make Up Bag Remix tours first stop in Los Angeles.

Created for the beauty maven-on-the-go, Riccis Make Up For Ever Remix Make Up Bag will feature black faux leather adorned with gunmetal studs, metallic silk screening, and a geometric motif that highlights the brands signature red lip – a personal favorite for Ricci.

“Were delighted to be working with Christina Ricci,” said JP McCary, General Manager of MAKE UP FOR EVER, The Americas. “We love that she is not afraid to experiment with make up both on and off the red carpet. Her classic, yet edgy style made her the perfect choice to design our Remix Make Up Bag, which we know will be coveted by fashionistas and beauty aficionados everywhere.”

“I loved collaborating with MAKE UP FOR EVER on a custom make up bag because I got to design something that actually holds everything I need on-the-go,” said Ricci. “My inspiration for the bag was hard rock meets couture, and I added a red lip motif to the geometric design since I love wearing red lipstick. Plus I thought it would add a fun pop of color.”

What do you think?

I think it’s rather an incredible idea to have a brand so willing to work with what you already OWN and show you, willingly, how to use those products.

Anyone have plans of possibly attending?

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. Ummm WOW that is AWESOME. Where in NYC will they be? Probably Times Square? Wish they would go to my local Sephora at 86th & Lex! A girl can dream!

    • the Muse

not sure of exact locations but if you contact for an appointment they prob will let ya know ;-D I’m trying to schedule one now, looking over my nutty schedule for March. Seems fun!

  • meghan

Is there a fee for the sessions? I might try to get me and my bestie to go!

  • Michelle

Wow – how cool is that?! I wish I lived near NYC – but alas, its HOURS away … sniffle

  • Somayea

Nothing ever happens cool near me 🙁
But lucky for those who get to go! I hope they put out more stops in the future 🙂

  • K.B.

I won’t be attending because the closest city is an 8+ hour drive from me, but man alive I want that makeup bag.

  • Nicole

Wow, I’m so excited that they’re coming to my city (Toronto). These things usually never come to Canada!

  • Lauren

Oh man! Definitely making the trip to Boston!! Or I’ll go to NYC on my birthday (the 10th!) And bring my mom with me, she needs a lesson WAYY more than I do!!

  • Louise

That is such an excellent idea and so innovative! It would be great if they had something like this in Australia so I could learn a couple of things from my bunch of make up products.

  • blueraccoon

Curse them no Seattle date! *shakes fist* Me and my highlighters are sad.

  • 18thCenturyFox

I could get to SF but I don’t think I’ll even attempt to get an appt

  • Majick

I’m thinking I had this idea to start my own business a long time ago but just couldn’t figure out how to market it. Like most of my ideas, I see the big companies doing it years after my concept.

WIsh I knew the “right” people.

p.s. Muse, serious here, come visit in the spring. 😉 But you only get to bring 1 bag. (I hope it’s not on wheels ROFLMAO)

  • Angela

If only they came to western Canada 🙁 TO is a bit of a drive, LOL! What a terrific idea!

  • Danii

That’s really lame that they’re THAT selective about cities. I can make the bag myself, find the gunmetal pyramid studs, make a bigger, more awesome lip print. The closest to me would be Miami and that’s a long drive I don’ want to take. From Georgia to Florida? No thanks, MUFE. You guys suck for that. 😐

    • the Muse

perhaps if it’s successful they’ll extend it to more cities danii…I though it was a great idea 🙂

  • Steph

I guess those of us who do live near a big city miss out. Come on MUFE can’t you bring your knowledge to rural America. How about a military base or two!

  • Libby61

Hi Muse, Have you ever reviewed MUFE Super Matte finishing powder? It is always sold out at Sephora. I guess that is a good thing. However, I need your opinion (or that of your Musettes) before making my final decision. Thanks much!!!

    • the Muse

I wanna say I have libby but I don’t think so…I typically avoid finishing powders because of my drier skin so prob didn’t review it 🙂 perhaps someone will reply…haha musettes that’s cute ;-D Hopefully someone tried it and can answer better than I 😀

  • Olivia

I’m going on Feb 1…gotta try to blog and videotape everything for youtube as well so people can get excited! 😀
