NARS Light Reflecting Setting Powder for Spring 2013

For Spring 2013, NARS introduces an innovative new Light Reflecting Setting Powder, available in both loose and pressed formulas. Light Reflecting Setting Powder helps skin “shine through makeup,” enhancing the look of foundation and extending makeup wear – all without a trace of color.

Containing NARS exclusive Light Reflecting Complex, this translucent powder optimizes light reflection on the skin, optically fading fine lines, wrinkles, and pores as skin is visibly smoothed. Vitamin E and glycerin help guard against dryness and provide a luminous soft matte finish. Ideal for touch-ups, regulating shine, and seamlessly setting foundation.

  • NARS Light Reflecting Loose Powder $34
  • NARS Light Reflecting Pressed Powder $34

The Loose Powder launched January 15 and will be available at NARS Flagship Boutique in New York as well as online at narscosmetics.com and the Pressed Powder will be available February 1 at Sephora and sephora.com with March 15 launch date at narscosmetics.com

I’m intrigued, but I’m confused by the promise of a “luminous soft matte finish.” Doesn’t have to be one or the other? I’ll probably buy it anyway.

This Sounds very Good. I dont like matte setting powders. On my dry skin it Looks very dull.
Hoppefully the Powder gives a Little Bit of the Photoshoped Effect.

I’m on a foundation/powder “no-buy” for the year, so I’ll have to pass on this…for now, LOL. I’m quite intrigued, though.

i should go on one, bb cream ban, because it’s starting to get stupid around here!

This sounds similar to the “new” mineral veil included in the last BE TSV. I still haven’t used it yet so can’t say if its any different than the regular mineral veil. I should try it out. I could use a little “photoshopping” effect right about now.

This pan of pressed powder looks completely empty… before I read the post, I thought it was a compact mirror :p
